Google does very well in determining unique content. Titles, short descriptions and a couple of keywords with a video can hardly be described as content. They are just like captions or product descriptions from a catalogue.

When you talk about unique content you have to look at longer articles, books, etc.

I throw up a seo plugin on my blogs and that's about it. I write all my posts but I don't bother "optimizing" my blogs or sites. Google will do what it wants and I'm not going to bother wasting my time reading the endless amounts of seo articles when I could be doing some work (or posting on GFY :upsidedow). I always got huge traffic increases with each Panda update anyways.

Blogs will always rank fine in SERPs and longtails that you use in blog posts/titles as long as it's still indexed but finding good keywords to target with high quantity searches and ones that people will actually buy something from as well as expanding longtails is a whole different story, not to mention image search optimization.. :2 cents:

The highest ranked tubes don't even have video descriptions.
Youporn has every video on the page as an <h1> and supposedly having more than one h1 is horrible yet they have like 50 per page.
