Ive seen that lower quality pics/video with an attractive girl or good hardcore content converts better because the surfer might think "Hey this is good, but I want to see it in HD" which is why I posted what I did...

Plus I promote with thousands of longtails so that makes a difference being micro niche as opposed to porn quality..

Obviously you are going to have a tough time turning the head of a guy who's coming to a Tube site with his lube ready. Giving him a 5 minute clip pulled out of the scene that was shot to get him off isn't going to work. Maybe he will click on the advert and become traffic you can sell at a few dollars per thousand is all that's left.

However how about a video that makes him stop and think "this is interesting, lets look." and then "Hey this is good, but I want to see it in HD." and goes to the site. Is a video clip designed to get him off going to do that better than a video clip designed a produced to generate interest?

Quality of the quality of the content is something I never mentioned and it's a good point, thank you for bringing it up. Maybe the quality is more than image definition, however this on a Tube due to compression is going to be lower than what the site offers. Style of the video also will have to be tailored to suit the style of the site it's promoting. Big tits glamor needs a different slant than amateur Ex GF.

We all saw in a previous thread the ratios of the hosted Tube from PR. It seems now they are opening up to getting you to send traffic so that can sell it as the middle man. If that's a taste of the future then fine. I'm posting about generating interest in a paysite, after you guys have generated the traffic and done the job of filtering it.

Not sure what longtails are, new word for me in porn. Porn quality is not about image definition. Quality amateur needs to be a different image definition than Playboy quality. It's like comparing a Ferrari with a Rolls, both quality cars, neither have a lot else in common, except price bracket.

The only person talking about adapting is being told it's all wrong.

that's a completely different product. People don't go to the theatre to alleviate sexual impulses, not compared to what we are selling, so comparing the two is nonsense.

Interesting post. So what are you selling here. Traffic or a 30 day paysite join?

If you're selling traffic, then obviously my idea isnt for you. If you're selling a 30 day porn site membership, then yes you need to closely examine the differences between the two mediums, a 120 minute film and a 43,200 minute membership.

If people just come to tubes to jerk off and get on with their day. Then trying to convert them into paysite members needs something more than a pile of videos designed to get them off.

If you're selling traffic, then getting them to the site and getting a few to become traffic and eventually buy, then your content is fine for this.

I would dearly love people to tell me what's wrong with this idea, if their aim is to sell memberships and not traffic.

It's where Jedi Knights trade traffic.

Interstitial ads and in-video ads are coming too.

Brand new premium sections is being added.

Top end mobile templates as well.

So you will be changing where the "PREMIUM" link goes? :winkwink:

Would be cool if there were a way to mix.

This is naturally done, to a point. If you notice some videos may have a 23:00 time length, for example, but only play a 1 minute teaser clip. I emailed support because I thought this may have been a bug. They replied that if it's exclusive content, it will always be a clip. So, setting full length isn't a bad idea when there are going to be teasers automatically mixed within the tube.
