Check out my friend Brittany's blog. She's just published two Gluten Free cookbooks and a does some amazing things with GF Baking.
http://realsustenance.com Not sure she's on Google + yet, but I do know you can find her on Facebook. |
No of course not. That's just ridiculous.

Let me tell you, I don't eat meat, I don't eat gluten. You know what? I feel amazing as ever. I can't even imagine walking into a McDonalds or Chick fi le or whatever that place is. When I was in Vegas, I broke down and had cheese. Never again. I felt gross. When I first started I felt socially odd. I tried to go vegan right away, but it was socially too difficult. Once I removed myself from the social situations causing the issues, it became easier. Then I started going back out after that, and its all good now. Its a lifestyle. It may look like a horrible life on the outside, but on the inside, its far from it. Of course there are people that make a stink about how I eat, but more than that, I get people hitting me up asking for advice. That happens more now than ever, particularly after Forks over Knives adapted China Study to film. I'm glad you are feeling better Eric. Hit me up if you ever have questions. We found this place called A Good Habit, its close to over here and very good. |

Exactly. It's very easy to eat gluten free if you want to. I could care less about converting anyone, my post was to attract others that practice, but this is GFY, so you will always have the experts who know "everything" about "all" chiming in. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh Just for Giggles: Here are two of my lunches this week. Gluten and Dairy Free and freaking delicious. http://i41.tinypic.com/2u95zlw.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/243nd6o.jpg Looks like it tastes nasty huh? :1orglaugh |

I live diet free.
|
I'm not 100% dairy free, but have cut way down on it.
I've substituted in almond milk and soy milk (the original, not that nasty vanilla flavored gunk) My wife and I use vegan cheese for a lot of our recipes and we go meatless on Mondays and have cut meat down to becoming side dishes rather than main courses. By bulking up on the veggies, cutting down the dairy, meat and bread, we're both feeling better. I packed on some pounds when she was pregnant and just made some simple changes like those and lost 30 pounds and more importantly, have kept it off. I still enjoy a good buffet and steak house once in awhile, but that has become a treat rather than a regular dining pattern. I haven't gone gluten free, but have reduced the amount I consume. I'm 42 and don't have the metabolism I once did but have found I don't have to go the extreme diet route, just make a few changes, add more walking and exercise into my day and I've been feeling like I'm in my 20s again. |

She was telling us how she got these pains in her stomach that hurt so much that she would cramp up in pain. |

I am really glad to hear I could serve as a positive influence on this stuff, I know I had people like Monica I could ask questions to when I first went through it, among others. Ironically, I still, to some degree, view my being so public about my diet as a really dumb move. People think of food as religion and an emotional crutch, when they see how you eat or how you speak of how you eat, they get fired up. I try to fly under the radar. haha
Lets all do lunch. We do a lot of juicing at L3 these days : ) |
100% Dairy free. And have been for over ten years now.
