Sorta unrelated, sorta not, but I've been making some pretty mean protein waffles in the morning by loading them up with egg whites and they don't taste that different. Just a tip for anyone wanting to try something.

I ate it daily up until last week when i ran out. I am now making it myself. Buckwheat and quinoa are in the dehydrator as we speak. Should be ready by Saturday morning when I get to add everything else. This should be interesting, but I got hooked on it.

Short answer: protein

There have been many studies done that have all concluded that eggs are a very good source of protein that your body can readily absorb with very little effort (as opposed to meat or legume proteins that your body must break down before absorbing).

Eating 2 tablespoons of peanut butter - right out of the jar will have a similar effect. Many children growing up on farms use the peanut butter trick before going out at 5am to begin their chores ...

No one is gonna deny that, dork.

The bacon and eggs are low-carb so your blood sugar level is remaining stable while you are also getting the protein you need to stay full and energized for the morning. Cereal can be good fiber, but the carbs will give you a sugar spike followed by a low. I love the stuff to death, but can't eat it because it makes me so sleepy and then I just want to eat more.

Me too! I cant work for 1-2 hours after my lunch unless I eat low carb food. I get too tired.
