I'm not sure the source of your traffic but you shouldn't stick with one affiliate program. Also, I would try to use something thats NOT populated on the program itself as you want that shock factor to LURE people in. Many programs make up these untested useless pages just to fill up the AD-TOOLS categories and never test them! Perhaps we could work on something with you, and also work with a few other people to diversify your impressions :)

zero signups..and the cost was just shy of $200
I'm using the affliates own landing page as the page where this traffic goes.

So for those of you that know this game, I seek advice.

do I try another affliate/program and its landing page with this traffic source?
or is 41 hundred visits over 9 days not enough volume to make a judgement like that?

thanks for reading

yeah that would be another drama novela. not interested in doing that. besides its entirely possible as someone has suggested that my .4% ctr is due to my poor choice in text and or graphics. Or it could be the spondors page sucks ass. or his stats are full of shit. or the ad broker has me buried.

Why I posted this thread was to hear the thoughts of those who are much more experienced at this than I am. I need to hear how my stats stood as seen by experienced eyes.

I changed the landing page to a new niche and new site - http://hentai-blitz.com
I'm 13 hours into the new campaign and the clicks are beating the shit outta webcams clicks. and STILL I have a 0.4 CTR.

and then theres the descrepency between visits that google says I have and the clicks that the ad broker says I got. like more than 2:1. Is that normal? is google behind in the count and they'll catch up? is my broker BSing me? or am I the newbie who dosnt know clicks and visits are not the same thing?

time and gfyers will tell. Trolls not withstanding.

Are you sending general porn traffic to a hentai landing page? That would explain the poor click throughs and lack of sales. Most people want to see videos of real people fucking, not x-rated toons with animated characters.

medicatedghost 02-13-2012 11:47 AM

well on the bright side there are apparently people on this forum way way wayyyyy more fucking dumber than I am. either that or they're hellbent on steering me in the wrong direction. dopeys - keep your lying to things only occuring in this industry. dont venture out into common knowledge areas and try your bs there. that just sets off the banjo music from deliverence.

good luck with your continued failure, genius.

General advice only for what it's worth. When you walk into a retail store, people try to narrow down what you want and then steer you to that item. Online, people are telling you what they want based on what they clicked or typed in as a query. Do NOT try to tell them they want something else. Give them what they asked for, and do not give them the option to click away to something else. But most importantly, you MUST know what they clicked or typed which lead to the sale, else you will be forever wasting money on buying clicks that are unproductive. You have to be able to identify and remove your loss-leaders so your money is spent on your productive clicks. Also, the more specific the niche they want, the better for you. Someone who types "pregnant black girls with dildos" is perfect, simple provide what they asked for and no way to exit except their back button.
I've never understood people buying clicks and then setting things up as if they are at the TOP of a funnel when in fact they are at the bottom. Sure, if you're buying clicks for "porn" then you are up shits creek in terms of knowing what to offer them. In that case, you have to try to get them to filter themselves down to what they actually will pay for. Anyway, good luck.

Create your own banners, your own landingspages and track all (impressions, clicks, Geo info) test banners ABC and landingspages DEF and check results based on banners/landingspages per GEO, Make sure you landingspage get some SEO juice, since that traffic is highly profitable (no costs). Always choose 1 niche you want to promote to start like cams, dating or a specific nice such as oil massages.

Tweak and learn, gather info and tweak agian ;)

You're welcome. Mike Dutch had valuable advice too. Figure out a niche, and even a specific paysite first and then build everything in support of what the surfer is going to see on it's tour. That way, they'll be reassured that you didnt BS them into clicking. Anyway, good luck.
