It was on a VHS copy of a movie I rented back in, uh... 1989 I think. The Family Portrait. It had us laughing so hard we were in pain. We must have watched it 20 times.

I haven't watched the Simpsons in 10 years. I used to love it, but I've always been more into Futurama. But I do remember this great part from mid 90's episode where Homer had to drive somewhere really far, and he kept passing these signs for "Flaming Pete's Steak House". When he finally drove by Flaming Pete's, it was burnt to the ground. The buildup and great payoff of that joke had me fucking rolling.

homer was great in this but Raphael is one of my favorite minor characters

When Homer is trying get fat so he doesn't need to go to work and he wipes a burger on the wall which turns transparent and a bird flys into it.

Also, when Homer needs his hip replaced and Dr Nick demonstrates the metal hip and breaks it "You'll have to go easy on it".
