We got the VitaMix 5200c.

Yeah...if you let it run long enough, the motor gets hot enough to heat shit up. It's nuts.

Blendtec $399 with two jars at Costco USA, so next time I'm there I'll grab one.

I'm checking out this Garden of Life stuff now. Thanks for throwing that out there.

The one I use is "perfect Food".

All I can say is, when I'm taking that stuff, I feel healthier, my digestion is like clockwork and I make the best muscle gains. Spirulina is one of the best protein sources.

We ordered something tonight. I don't know what she ended up with, but we've got a bunch of vitamin, protein and green mixins coming in the next few days.

Found a Breville juicer for sale today by chance, the 600W version that retails still for around $300-350 (and used to be $500+) for $35. Picking it up tomorrow.

Damn, these high end blenders are 2x - 3x the price here in Thailand. They must get hit with a high import tax on them.

Paying $1000 for a Vitamix is a wee bit too much.

600w is pretty weak. I used an 800 once, broke it. Oops (sorry Mr. Pheer), My advice, don't rush it. Slower will result in more juice.

I realize now that the Vitamix is better than the Ninja, but you'll do ok with the Ninja, if you don't want to spend that much. It's 1100 watts and will chop the shit out of whatever you throw at it. I've been getting by just fine with mine, but this thread has made me want to get a Vitamix, which I'll probably do when my Ninja explodes.

Thanks good advice. Just got home with it. If I end up breaking it I'll splurge on a new one, but for $35 I couldn't pass this up :P

Yeah, for $35 it would be tough to pass up at least a look. Good luck with it. If you have FB, we have a juicing group where people put up pics of their recipes. http://www.facebook.com/groups/143026395817835/ Might provide some inspiration.
