Sorry it's taken awhile to get back. I had planned to respond earlier this week but forgot until just now when I saw that Aaliyah Love was named as the latest TOTM.
We'll get to that in a little bit, though, because I first want to clarify that my original post was in reference to 'branding' whereas your response referred to the product. Those are two separate things. The product is the product and the brand is the perception of the product. Make sense?
As for Aaliyah, naming her as TOTM was another horrible, horrible choice. Nothing against her, as she is very hot and she does have the TOTM 'look', but she's been around for quite some time. Prior to the acquisition, it seemed as if the TOTMs were either new models or experienced models/porn stars being presented in a new light. Emily Addison had done bondage work. Blake Rose had done interracial glory hole scenes, Both totally different than a Twistys style glamour shoot.
So, tell us, how did you come to the decision to name Aaliyah TOTM? Was it because of how high she rates in the members area? Like I said, she's pretty fucking hot, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if her numbers were through the roof. If it wasn't testing, then what was it? Some type of members area upgrade package deal with Blazing Bucks? The one thing that's for certain is that the catalyst had nothing to do with you or your people keeping their eyes open while checking out the newest scenes on Dogfart or looking through the latest Ken Marcus photo galleries.
Oh, and I think I saw one of those 'all-are-starting-to-look-the-motherfucking-same' Mofos style flash banners on Spankwire the other night. It was for Twistys but it didn't mention anything about it being 'the ultimate babe site' or anything like that, which is pretty much what both the brand and product were built upon over the past decade. It only mentioned something about lesbian porn. and it looked like an ad for a bizarro Girlfriend's Films/Big Butts Like It Big hybrid site. lol
