I managed to give up brewed coffee completely and caffeine entirely for a while there. I didn't get sleepy in the afternoon at all. Now I do drink some crappy instant coffee, and also like green tea with a bit of honey.

I drink coffee in the morning and in the evening

It talked alot about how it used to be a banned substance in excess of X ammount and a bunch of stuff like that, but that after it was removed from the banned substance list its used decreased quite a bit. Anyway they did a study measuring the performance of muscle fibre both before and after caffeine. Muscles performed noticably better after drinking coffee. To eliminate it being a mental thing, the tests were performed again using electric stimulus to fire the muscles completely eliminating the brain from the picture. Anyways, the thing that caught my eye about it the most and also your post was the same results WERE NOT observed from caffeine pills. It HAD to be natural coffee. :2 cents: |
Warchild, care to post that article? Either way caffeine and ephedra stimulate both the CNS and skeletal muscle tissues and increase fat lipolysis. Fat burning = more caloric expenditure = muscles working harder :)

can't go through the day without it...

I do remember that although they were unable to pin point why exactly they thought coffee was making the muscles perform better, their working theory was that it made the individual muscle fibres fire harder and/or faster. If I have some time later I'll see if I can search it out online. |
Definitely, I would love to read it. Caffeine by itself is also said to have the same effects as you state as well. Cool read none the less.
