While I am upset as a part owner in the company that got burned and I lost a fortune in sales, the experience made me what I am today so I am actually happy to have the entire experience. |

never allow full access to your account, only to the site a programmer works for.

Ok thanks man, stealing your sites then trying to protect himself using "it's competition" is just fucking horrible, man I'm so glad I never dealt with this piece of shit.
scriptguy, man, horrible what you've done :disgust |
He pulled a Mark Zuckerberg on you.

Well at least the thieving piece of shit admits to it. Can't believe he has the balls to come on here and say he took your idea and ran with it. I wouldnt give a shit if he stole scripts, database, whatever, just the fact that you hired him and he took your model is fucked up enough. Fucking sociopath.

People seem to be getting alone fine with one persons view of the argument. Saving 75% on coding fees by hiring some toerag from Romania just go and cost you your business. |

Could be a guy from Romania, a guy from the states, anybody. My point of this thread is to make sure *** scriptguy *** doesn't do it again. It is no longer 1 sided point of view either... scriptguy posted in this thread and admitted to taking the idea. He said he redid the programming (which is bullshit)... he absolutely, 100% stole the files and databases. |

did you ever consider that some professionals don't have time to deal with games like that? tell your lawyer that you will "teamviewer" him while he works on your stuff, and I bet you, you will be laughed out of his office... :2 cents: |

I've said all this in previous posts. I'm walking away from the computer, hopefully for the entire weekend. |

I know it will be hard but try not to let it ruin your weekend...better days ahead:) Take comfort in the fact knowing you did a good deed by outing a thief, and now many in the business have taken your heads up and will be extra careful:) Win for GFY alert system! |

I know he is reading this, and what you wrote is pretty powerful. As this is currently pending, I am going to keep silent as far as the actions I am currently taking. Do you think his whois is false? He was very sloppy with everything up till now so I have a suspicion it is accurate. |
And I will make that donation you mentioned. It's a worthy cause for sure and I can tell you are stand up.

he got a way with a few dollars |
That's a very shitty thing to do for a programmer if you ask me.

You can add this guy as well -> https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1060934&page=1 |

First time is usually just a hack that gets little bits and pieces added on, the bare minimum. Edit it until it no longer dies with a parse or runtime error. Second time is often a complete rewrite, sometimes in another language, with more thought about how to code around soft errors (restarting from a waypoint rather than dying with a fatal error), better use of memory, disk space and access, etc. I often go back to it and do little refinements here and there. I should add this is for my own use only, I wouldn't be giving hacky half tested code to anyone else... unless it's a favour for a friend :) |
