Just because she said it on the radio, doesn't make it true. Do you believe everything posted or forwarded on Facebook by conservatives, liberals, and the religious? Or by forwarded emails? Before I'd believe her story, I'd need some type of proof or research.

Yeah, I would like to have a LOT OF ACTUAL DETAILED INFO ON THIS CASE cause it sounds a lot like another anti obamacare scare. I have yet to hear of anyone dying from cancer in any foreign country because of lack of healthcare. Stories yes, but actual persons with detailed stats that you can look up, No! Never seen or talked to one in my life.

seems unlikely. could be possible but there is a lot of propaganda by people who would profit from private heath care that tries to turn canadians against their health care system.

and if any canadian thinks the current system is bad they should read the history about the nightmare of private health care before the current system ... which motivated people of conscience to act.

ha yeah people blow it way out of proportion but i think people should be able to get covered health care in whatever province does the job best. however, like you said, she was not ever denied treatment.

I don't think everything can be laid at Obama's feet. Congress is to blame for most of our problems and we cannot forget that the Republicans have run this country for the past few presidential elections. We also cannot forget that the Republicans have not offered up any concrete solutions for our current problems, just smoke and voodoo economics. They are more concerned with getting their social agenda in place than they are rebuilding the country. So their big concern with big government is a veil, because they actually want more government to tell us what they would like us to do, how to live, what we can watch, how we treat our bodies, etc. et al.

I worked in our health care system for 15 years and never once saw this occuring. Several in my own family have fought, were treated and beat cancer, all treated quite successfully by our horrible socialistic free-for-everyone health care system.

i don't have to ask Shemp, i've seen Canada's healthcare system firsthand - of course there are millions of people who get decent to great care, when you're paying 40% personal income tax and your country barely spends a dime on its own defense then you better expect the best healthcare in the world. which Canadian's don't, Ontario is a mess, people waiting months for cancer treatment in certain areas, waiting lists for heart surgery where people die waiting. I know of one of those personally, he'd have been better off having a heart attack and ending up in an ER so he could have had bypass surgery on an emergency basis.

If you don't vote, you don't get to complain.

Here's an idea for you. Gather your news from multiple sources, not just Fox. Pick any item that interests you where Obama and Romney disagree, for example, the EPA. Take some time to do some research before forming a final opinion. Do the same with taxes, energy, etc. Line up 10 things or so and then compare the candidates. I bet after you do that, you will be the first one in line at the voting booth.

Yes I guess I am lucky to live here. One thing it does give me is perspective. I'm a news junky and strangely, an American politics junky for the past 2 years and living in Canada has let me see the point of views from both the Dems and GOP. While there's no doubt that republicans really really love their country, I have seen, heard and read of only a few things that republicans have done that seem "good".
