panda killed me last year... but a few months of big work and i got back to pre-panda levels plus 50%... so it forced me to stop being lazy and build better sites. This update hit some of my sites pretty hard, but others got rewarded... worked out to be about a wash, and hopefully in another couple of weeks i will see benefit from the recent update

funnybone 04-26-2012 09:03 PM

I had one of my static sites cloned completely by some black hat genius, xrumer'd and then show up in the exact position my site had previously maintained on page one of Google. So, that was nice.

Dealing with Google DMCA for whole site rip is a bitch, they will kill an image or article URL quickly but not so much for a whole domain.

xxxbusiness 04-26-2012 11:40 PM

+30% more traffic from yesterday :thumbsup

martinsc 04-27-2012 12:21 AM

some are up and some are down for me... still need to better understand what I did right and what I did wrong.... :thumbsup :thumbsup

Traffic trading scripts = EVIL!
MechBunny Script = EVEN MORE EVIL!!!

diablom 04-27-2012 01:31 AM

hate these things. everytime I reach my goal, google comes with an update and fucks me off to the ground.

This time lost all cam keywords for my main site, traffic dropped 50%. Hope it is just short dancing...

stevemib 04-27-2012 03:32 AM

Yea them fricken Pandas always wreak havoc.

geirlur 04-27-2012 05:59 AM

This update took down almost my entire blog network :boid
If it doesn't come back I don't know what to do, they have all unique content and handwritten posts :-/

bpluva 04-27-2012 11:12 AM

Iv'e been fighting this useless battle for 6 weeks and there is no recovery in site. Some of it probably is lack of update and good content but why chop off my nuts. Iv'e done everything from deoptimizing, to changing servers, adding content, yes I panicked.

I'm talking about legal tubes only. Link every sponsor hosted video to a paysite and earn the money. What's the problem with that?

Nope. Tube-style blogs convert a way better than the "traditional" ones.

arock10 04-27-2012 11:26 AM

I find tubes have miserable CTR to sponsor compared to traditional blogs. Anyway google destroying traditional blogs ranks even more in favor of non unique scraper shit as usual

Just because you don't know how to multiple increase your CTR on tube-style blogs :2 cents:

femdomdestiny 04-27-2012 11:51 AM

My complete online business is worse and worse every single month. I've never recovered from first panda. Even completely rebuilt my sit...but nothing. Simply nothing. I hate google.

It wasn't a joke actually. The second click on the video player (the first one is always mean "play") must open the affiliate link in a new window. A very simple hint which doubles, triples and even 10x's your CTR. :2 cents:

it's same when you run wordpress and don't know how to use it

Lassitor 04-27-2012 04:15 PM

The inside scoop is that Google is looking to the the major sites for user reviews such as Yelp, bing business portals, google places, linkedin, foursquare and yahoo business profiles. If you are not listed there, don't have reviews then google is ranking your pages lower or not at all.

Lassitor 04-27-2012 04:18 PM

And, Google is also looking if you have a facebook fanpage, how many Likes you have as well as frequency of post, if you are tweeting and how active your tweets are.

Re-tweets should carry more weight than initial tweets.

Lassitor 04-27-2012 04:36 PM

Also keep in mind that google is using companies like leapforce to hire people to view domains. The end result is that internet porn and the junk spam pages are simply going to NOT show up in the search engines, Period. Already its an endgame situation for everyone, those that have branding and name recognition will survive...if just.

The future of internet porn is going to be how well you brand your material and then associate with brick and mortar establishment that carry adult material or cater to those that likely visit them.

So, if you want traffic and sales..print handbills and hit the streets.

:2 cents: sounds great.. but eh... how do you explain that page 2, 3, 4 and 5 for some relevant webcam phrases are now filled with junk spam pages, and page 1 filled with the same whitelabels?

also great..but the average facebook user will not like a "cripple scat midget" fanpage, even if that was allowed :winkwink:

Exaggerated, I know, but fact is I have never seen that one of my facebook friends likes an adult page... have you? How many?

that only is relevant if my competition is listed at one of those review sites and I am not... but none of my competitors are listed there.. so it does not matter.

Are you sure you are not talking about mainstream?

You did realize though that it was an ironic reply to the retard that posted before that sites using trade scripts or MechBunny got hit by the Google update and deserved it, right? :winkwink:

From April 24th, I've been taking it in the ass by Panda. About a 20% drop overall. :Oh crap

Going to have to try some new things..

There ARE other traffic sources out there. As long as you don't trick people into clicking or misrepresenting in any way AND you add value to the site you are building links on, you should be good...... for the long haul.

The sites from my network, adult and mainstream, that get the most visits from google( by a huge difference ) are the ones that have no search engine optimization at all.

I really believe no optimization is better than anything else.

AGREED BY ------> ME

I have blogs with zero plugins being used and they are not affected at all. Seems the ones with all the crazy plugins are the ones getting hit on my end.

So Yoast's WP SEO and All in One SEO plugin = Penguin beatdown? Wait, what?

All I'm saying is all my blogs are all hand written unique updates. Some have plugins installed and some do not. The blogs that do not did not get hit even close to as hard as those with plugins being used. Just sharing.
