I know first hand that there were tickets for less than 10Eur, at least in Sweden.

I was watching this tournament on TV, thus I have this info from 3rd-party only (local TV and Internet). But if that wasn't right, how can you explain the empty tribunes? No one was interested? I can't believe into that.

In Sweden they started out really high then after a few games they had to lower the prices, so they cut them by 70%.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this all plays out though. Still some good games to watch.

Crowd size definitely increased towards the more recent games, but I still can't believe how many empty seats I'm seeing even with the lowered prices.

If this tournament were in Canada a lot of those games would have been packed to the rafters.

I'm not starting to imply anything. This is just a matter fact: Swedes had more NHL payers ("the dream team", huh?) than Czechs or Russians to whom they lost the games. :2 cents:

Russians made the entire tournament their bitch this year. They definitely sent their A squad, Datsyuk, semin, Malkin, Ovetchkin, etc. All their heavies. They didn't just win, they owned it. Slovaks have nothing to feel bad about, they were hosed by the best and they also finished ahead of some very good teams.

Finland just didn't have the chops this year though. They only seemed to bring their A game in about half the games. The rest they just looked bad. Congrats to the Czechs.

Very entertaining tournament though, as always, Canada or no Canada. There's always next year but with the NHL playoffs happening at this time it'll be the same thing all over again, with 60% of the players asked are either still in the playoffs or they're injured or afraid of injury.... thus it's a rare thing for us to actually send our absolute best of the best.

Anyway congrats to the winners.
