This is really scary stuff that should have us all scared. It is one thing if we use the right to charge with a visa card and quite another if they just sieze our domains. At least you could find another way to process cards and/or money.

People, don't fool yourselves. Those that support and promote censorship WILL use examples like this one to their advantage no matter what country they're in. I hate to be a doomsayer, but fuck it... some people need a wakeup call. There are people in the USA, Canada, Australia, Britain etc etc that would LOVE to have all of our sites removed from the net. They want the internet to be one huge disney zone that shows only child-friendly pages from la la land.

We of course know that the internet is also for adults..... adults who have the right to exercise their power of choice in what they want to view or not view.

Let me put it to you this way....
I find it highly strange that a late-night television program or movie can show scenes of graphic violence, sex, and course language and offer only a ten-second disclaimer after each commercial break before showing it, yet a website is censored and the webmaster persecuted and put through hell for showing the same content with similar disclaimers. Very fascinating indeed.

I suggest contributing to sites that are actually trying to do something about fighting censorship, like http://www.eff.org/br/

I'll be adding something about this case on my own anti-censorship site too. If ogrish needs to set up a paypal account to take donations to fight for his domain I'll be adding a link to that in as well.
