Slapping, I did not yank any Threads. They also showed absolutely nothing in connection with Manwin.

They did however show a connection to both the owners and the host... Wonder who yanked the thread....

And yes, all the sites and companies I bought were crippled... Totally! I love you Robbie :)

Sorry, I thought you were a programmer. Okay...you owned 1/3 of NATS when it first started and wrote the original program? That's something you can really be proud of.

Now, the hundred million dollars that you "borrowed" in the middle of the biggest world wide economic crisis of our lifetimes when banks worldwide were withholding credit? That's another story.

And excuse me...Digital Playground wasn't crippled compared to what they once were?

Twistys was still making money like it was 2005? (Though Twistys was probably doing a lot better than DP was by that point).

Playboy's online presence was kicking ass? (have to admit that they were barely treading water even BEFORE piracy lol)

Hey, I'm not saying that getting those sites wasn't a VERY good idea. I'm just saying that you got them for pennies on the dollar compared to what their worth was BEFORE piracy went berserk. Low hanging fruit.

But if you want to spin it like you got them at the top of their game then be my guest.

Doesn't really matter. Things will play out one way or another.

Bottom line is...you're living the high life now. But every accomplishment you've listed, and every bit of money that you've spent has come in a BIG part from the work of others that was pirated and put up on your tubes.

I earn my money from my work. You earn a large part off other people's work.

I thought Nathan was the geeky looking guy with glasses that went crazy with the police in West Hollywood? Sorry, I (and all the other porn producers on earth) lost my ass, shirt, and ROI with all the tubes and torents. I don't get on GFY often. I know it's alot of work to be honest and not steal but at least I sleep at night knowing I did my best to be fair and not rip people off.

Oh and Fabian/Nathan just remember the golden rule of porn: Every day a new girl turns 18 looking to make some fast legal cash doing porn, and every day some guy sitting on a mountain of smut gets sick of the played out shit and wants some more. What then? We can invent new niches, make new sites, scout models, shoot, direct, edit, & upload.

What can you do? You can't even run your own shit correctly. Too much work? Please... get to work - we've all worked for 10 - 20 years all for nothing thanks to you. You owe all of our kids thier college money and our retirement $$$. Too much work... fuck you. I have more ambition in my little finger than you do in your whole corporation. Get to work lazy ass.:321GFY

Nathan 06-16-2012 12:11 PM

Robbie, whatever I reply to you, you won't believe it anyway... But twisty's was pretty much as high as they ever were, DP had lost a bit from Pirates days, but that's obvious, playboy is a very strategic transaction, has little to do with where they were or why... And there are others coming that all are on their top of their game... Just like our exclusive products have never been stronger...

The traffic of our tubes obviously help, but that traffic is not built on user submitted content, considering less than 20% is actually user submitted on the tubes... Btw. I started acquisitions before I bought mansef's assets... And it took us 10 months to get our loan facility, and it cost us a lot of money. It is also more than 100 million usd though.. <g>

You DO realize that non-US spammers use stolen content watermarked with their own shitty blog then upload 100s and 100s of videos to PH knowing full well that even if a few are reported and you delete their account, they'll still have those other 100's and 100s of videos available? Or do you not even realize how your little piracy site is exploited?

Ever seen the movie Rango Fabian?

The one where the crook steals/reroutes water so he can buy land at depressed prices... once the land is acquired he also throws out the other crooks so he can build a town with higher prices without the threat of having done to him what he did to others?

Not a great movie but just thought you should see it :2 cents:

That much we agree on. I dress to feel comfortable. I cringe when I have to go to an occasion where a suit is required, like a funeral, wedding, or so on.

Living in Thailand I get to rock a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops damn near every day of the year. And when it gets chilly, I throw on some jeans. I love it. :thumbsup

This is my problem with MW. No one knows anything about who or what they are. All we have is what we can see. A "managing partner" who can't buy some decent casual clothes, or clean clothes.

A lot of bullshit about the price it was bought for.

No info on where the money came from.

Staff that few have seen and now FT tells us they have a cafeteria on the ground floor, how many floors do they occupy in that building? As there seems to be other companies in this building.

A 9 figure sum that seems to have just sat in a bank somewhere and FT side tracking the thread to avoid answering it. Are we going to get an answer on why this 9 figure sum has been dormant for so long FT, or is it "in motion"?

Claims about sending out 1,000s of DMCAs and no proof offered.

They're buying up companies at a time when most would sell to get shot and out of porn. For undisclosed figures again.

In fact what does anyone know for sure about MW? For sure, not for what they think they know.

Irony is a funny thing.

Ultimately MW will learn that piracy isn't something they can control. Either the 1,000s of DMCAs sent out has proved that to them or they're lying. Pirates will have control until laws change. Till then the only way we have to slow it down is to attack the money. Attacking hosting isn't possible on the scale FT talks about. Yes more of his BS.

The irony of this article

http://www.xbiz.com/news/149981

"The Luxembourg-based adult company said that the defendants sent dozens of emails to Manwin and its employees threatening to dilute the Manwin trademark and divert Manwin's traffic if it did not purchase the domains."

Sounds familiar like having a number of tube sites and giving away everyone elses (stolen) content except your own brand.

Talk about dilution...

Not all Porn was or has been shrinking, this is a barrow you continue to push which is a complete and utter fallacy.

As for proof, when have you ever bothered to prove anything ? Never, so shut the fuck up then.

You continually talk this business down, you take the attitude that because YOU don't have a piece of the pie now that you're just going to wreck the place.

Pitiful.

Edit: Paul, you're nothing but a stupid sex tourist who got lucky and made a living with a camera at a time when competition was limited and people would buy any old crap. You were a purveyor of crap.

I still have a piece of the pie, see signature.

Well it seemed my crap was good enough for your porn magazine. You do know I sold to Australia, or don't you?

And why a sex tourist. I was working from London.

**************

This is the kind of crap that some insist on posting. The decline of porn is obvious to anyone who looks at it. Offline is all but gone, online isn't replacing the billions lost. Sites are closing or having trouble paying, affiliates are jumping out, boards are slowing down and many are reduced to selling traffic, people who that once bought, for dollars per 1,000. Even some of those guys are having trouble.

AK has not read countless threads showing the decline, yet thinks with no proof it isn't shrinking flames.

Then accuses me of being a sex tourist, even though for the majority of the time I was in London, says competition was limited without having a clue what he's talking about and I people would buy any old crap. Including the magazine he supposedly owned. not only did they buy any old crap, they paid more for it as well and most online shooters couldn't rise to the level of any old crap. :1orglaugh

Yes I was a highly paid purveyor of crap, go research the records of the any old crap your magazine bought from me and the price you paid for it. :1orglaugh

The main problem with boards are people like AK who are clueless.

I'll happily admit I bought from you, you had cheap teen filler content and it suited me at the time, however now the available content is far superior with a better range available.

On the point of the porn industry shrinking, if it was shrinking for everyone people like Dirty D wouldn't be buying up sites like he currently is nor would Nathan be expanding the Manwin stables.

The players may have consolidated taking the larger chunk of the action but the overall market is still there and brimming with opportunity for those who can think past the old paradigms.

Pimproll and many other players seem to be able to add new sites on a regular basis and produce and contract production like there is no tomorrow, I don't see that they could afford to do this if they weren't profitable.

AdultKing 06-17-2012 04:51 AM

Paul, I'd like to apologize for calling you a sex tourist, what I should have said was that you have intimated that one of your joys in life was getting your end in and that as such to have made a career of being able to photograph women while doing so was lucky.

I never said some aren't disappearing, making a profit, buying up cheap sites.

I said many are disappearing, making less profit and cutting back and selling to get out.

So what exactly do you do?

I don't run magazines now, sold the last printing press almost 10 years ago. You're right about one thing, there's no money in magazines now. Too costly to produce, harder to distribute and razor think margins if there could be a margin at all.

What surprised me is that a man like you with so much too run, knew that your magazine was buying our content as "filler" content. I would of thought you would of delegated this to an underling like you do with so much of your business. Most magazines were made up by editors buying and deciding on the content.

But there you are coming back straight away with your remark.

Or like the string of porn shops, blogs, part ownership of other companies, the largest brothel, etc. All fantasy.

Because the man at the top wouldn't know what his editors were buying until the proof was laid out on a table at a meeting, if he took part in that meeting.

And he would know magazines didn't buy filler content because there was so much great content to buy. AU was a second rights market where lots of shooters tried to sell stuff to after they had sold it the the US, UK and EU. So the competition to get a few sales from AU was intense.

You would know that if you knew anything about the magazine business. Never try to bullshit a man on his home turf.

Sorry dont agree with you on that one!

Eastern (in this case middle) Europe is pretty okay compared with the rest of the EU world. For example Paul lives/works in the same city where I am and the reason why I depart from Amsterdam to this country is because of its opportunities.

My reason was that there is much more tech talent here and its 40-50% cheaper as in the Netherlands and also more dedicated and motivated.

West EU is expensive like hell if you run a company and here there is so much tech/ero talent here.

To give you an idea, IBM, Redhat, Motorola and more international companies are established here for the tech talent.

For example Brno is the 2nd largest city of Czech and has a huge tech university where all the tech talents from Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and other Western EU countries want/come to study!

Besides that there is a lot of "adult talent" here and also from surrounding countries who wants to make money :thumbsup:thumbsup
