I think you are unbelievably naive in terms of their motives. They know exactly what they are doing, and there is not a single good intention in their plan.

JOKER 06-24-2012 12:14 AM

Like I said let's give it some time. All this can't just happen over night, everyone should understand that.

Did you give Fabian a black eye after his keynote in Vegas?

For your dumbass information:
I did NOT attend his joke of a "keynote speech".

I never had any intention of hitting him anyway. Matter of fact he wanted to meet me and talk about what he's doing to show his "side". He never did. And when I saw him in the room at the CEO dinner, I walked right by him (Jerry from AEBN was right beside me laughing) and I stared dead at him the whole time in an overly exaggerated way to fuck with him.

He just sat there slack jawed and staring straight ahead like a dead fish. lol

But no, I never intended any violence towards him. He'd sue me to the ground.

Now what have you ever done? Nothing? Thought so... Shut the fuck up. :1orglaugh

In my eyes, I think this is a good start, but I guess you have to start "believing" to see it. :winkwink:

I know most can't agree with it on principle, but I'd say in general - the less free porn easily available to end-users the better chances for us all to actually sell porn again.

This is actually the time to decide on which side you are on, are you just going to continue bitching or are you going to help this time around - most of us have just sat by idle while the tubes and file-lockers started taking over... Maybe it's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and take a stance with those that actually put their money and lawyers where their mouth is.

QFT. Manwin maybe the biggest, yet what are RK, BB and the other big guys doing about this. Scuba Steve thinks makinh jokes and closing one Tube a year is the answer. :(

Quote:

Oh and: One thing you all should realize - once there are no more rogue lockers, boards and tubes left - Manwin could actually flip the "free porn switch" off - ever considered thinking that this is the groundwork for a much larger "end-goal" (sorry there it is again) ?
Incredibly naive. If the major Tubes flip the "free porn switch" off. Surfers will move to those who don't and those who start up. Then it's all "User Upload" or bought. If the cost of buying content cripples some, more surfers left for those with content or able to buy it. This is why content is King, surfers will always follow it. Then the advertising on piracy sites. This is why Manwin and the big Tube owners will go after the pirates.

It's so simple. 1000 pirates sharing the booty will end up with less than if it were 100 giving away free porn.

Stop wishing for 2005 to return.

From blasting people with a shotgun to staring at them real hard and mean in 2 posts - way to go. LOL

Get that clown with the bleached hair that keeps popping up in your avatar to sort him out. He looks like he could handle the situation, maybe he could cuss and swear at him.

Course he didn't. Didn't even talk to him.

I love coked up steroid filled red neck keyboard warriors.

One minute blasting him with a shotgun, the next minute, giving him the evil eye.

Hilarious.

All of these lawsuits are nothing more than the latest porn business model. They all are only out for cash, not to help anyone.

Oron will settle. Slutload will settle. All of them will settle. That is the point of hitting them with super size multi-million dollar law suits. They will settle for a fraction of that and will agree to do something to help keep content off their site that belongs to the company suing them.

It's like when you get into trouble with the law. They often throw all sorts of BS charges on you and force you to plea to a lesser charge. They win and get a conviction, and you get fucked, but the fucking wasn't as bad as it could have been.

More than that. It's going to stop the file lockers stealing the content of those with the balls to hit them in court. Which is why MW is going this route. https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1072450

Another reason. It tells affiliates they're not fighting a losing battle promoting their sites.

The file lockers will keep taking from those who don't have balls.

The way to hit them is via the money. Hit the funding and you shoot down lots.

I really, really, hope so too, but logic says it won't. No one ever goes the distance on these types of suits. They want quick cash, and they get it.

You are 100% spot on. Not only are they going to get cash, but the infringing site will have to do everything in it's power to make sure content from that company does not show up there again. They will also roll on the uploaders who uploaded that companies content in the first place.

bottom line not many attorneys know how do this & are retarded when it comes to finding out what corbin did. Hopefully I'll be next in line with a lawsuit.

What you'd *like* to do, and what you have to settle for doing (which is sometimes nothing at all) are often very different things. Surprised that with all the intelligence on here, that isn't obvious.

That's the damn truth. For 4 years I've asked "industry attorneys" why I can't sue any of these bastards. And I keep being told over and over that I wouldn't win because of DMCA. :(

Sounds like Corbin has himself a much better attorney than most of the pack.

:2 cents:

I'd LIKE to do a lot of things. Unfortunately, I can not do them without serious legal recourse, so I have to resort to things I can actual do, which is not much.

Brazzers is the biggest banner but seaporn.org promote a little of everyone such as videosz.com , then for cams hardlink "friends" www.adultinteractivechat.net -> [ifriends.net (ClickCash.com)] + sexier (pussycash). Screenshots of dvd covers etc. are in pixhost.org which opens livejasmin AND webcamsexposed (crak/mfc) pages.
I think a list of affliaites NOT promoted by pirate sites would be short or simply no entries.

Well that's the irony, you fight the pirates but also financial supports them :1orglaugh

Mutt 06-24-2012 05:34 PM

looks like Mark Randazza's firm and Chad Belleville who practices alone don't believe this horseshit that the DMCA law gives thieves safe harbor protection. Corbin Fisher's lawsuit is based for the most part on Oron's failure to comply with the DMCA which requires a service provider to have a DMCA agent in place. They also include the rest of what we bitch about here, that Oron runs an affiliate program which encourages people to upload the most popular content and software they can. Without the failure of Oron to have a DMCA agent i'm not sure Corbin Fisher would have filed the suit.

I'm hoping that one of these companies do take a lawsuit the distance and a judge finally finds that file sharing sites the way they are currently run are not protected by the DMCA. If Corbin Fisher wins because of the lack of a DMCA agent and gets justly awards big damages, great for Corbin Fisher but doesn't mean much - unless you find another file host stupid enough not to have a DMCA agent.

We can't get rid of file sharing hosts, they'll get smarter in how they set themselves up, move to countries beyond the arm of US law BUT if we can get Paypal and other well known processors to cut off their processing it would push file hosting to the fringes - Paypal is the worst offender, the file sharing industry would not have grown so large without Paypal.

And this will happen until they go down or advertisers are liable for losses.
