I've been to Alabama *shudder*

If you'd rather leave California so you can smoke a carton a day in Alabama...then you deserve lung cancer.

mikesouth 06-27-2012 04:08 PM

I read through this and I am amused

To draw a single correlation between CA and AL and say thats why AL has more cancer is pretty much retarded.

As a Libertarian I am with Sperbonzo here. It's my property and If I want to make my bar smoke free or smoking mandatory I have that right just as you have the right not to patronize it, plain and simple.

I dont need or want the government to protect me from myself.

In most states suicide is illegal that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard of what are they going to do incarcerate my dead body?

Id bet skin cancer rates are much higher in CA than they are in ME does that mean that the Maine legislature should take credit for having fewer citizens with skin cancer than CA?

This whole thing makes no sense

Ban pools and drownings drop quite a bit.
Ban alcohol and liver problems are cut by half.
Ban walking outside without sunscreen and skin cancer goes down.
Ban showers that don't have safety harnesses and slip and fall injuries decrease.
Ban skiing and injures on the slopes will disappear.
Ban skateboards and a ton of teenage trauma wounds would stop.
Ban any food with fat and there will be fewer strokes and less heart desease.
Ban large speakers and people won't hurt their hearing.
Ban.......

Lets just take away all choice and everyone will live to be a healthy 100 years old!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!

.

Cigs are not banned, just from public places. I don't care if someone smokes just don't do it around me. You make the same stupid argument that people do about guns.

i wish the governement had banned them before i developed my habit many years ago... on the e-cig now and feeling great, but the damage has been done...

i dont believe the government should intervene and tell us what to do, but with something so obvious as cigarettes, i cant understand how they are legal to sell

Now go make a Maitai and drink it in the tanning booth while munching on some
trans fat chips.
