Will be writing my own content. Never really outsourced much before, but i guess if it can get me better search results i might consider it

Spent an hour today just continuing to install wordpress and set-up my databases and get all my widgets installed etc

Time spent - 1hr

OK i now have 3 new sites set-up and basic details, analytics, themes, plugins etc installed.

Total time so far spent: 2.5hrs
$ spent: $67

To do - get banners designed and installed. Touch up themes. Get a few posts for each site ready to go. Go live officially

Ok another hour spent today and i'm ready to launch 2 (basic) sites. Spent this hour tidying things up, getting everything matching, putting in ads, posts etc.

Obviously i still have work to do on both of these but they are live and hopefully will be noticed by search engines soon.

ok this is really frustrating me. Both Countingstacks and Hypetraffic use NATS and will not let me login due to 'invalid password and cookies not enabled' i can assue you that both are correct and both programs will not respond to my enquiries about this

OK so i have got it down to 10min per post now. Spent another half an hour today just updating sites. If i can update each site 3 times a week i will be happy. Do this for a couple months and try and get the SE traffic coming in

Anyone out there care to comment?

If I wasn't so busy with my own blogs I might give you a few tips but your blogs have major issues good luck

I'm completely missing the point of this thread/these posts. Can someone explain why it's of any interest or use to anyone how many hours a day somebody spends doing stuff?

It's as much for me as anyone else. This way i can keep track of the time i have actually spent on it. It turns out i am spending less time than i thought i would at this stage

At this stage i am just trading a few links on linkspun. I plan to increase this and other traffic metods once each blog has 20+ posts

Driving traffic is the area which i fall down in, even on my mainstream sites, so any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

OK one last and final time, let me break it down. 5 hours a week for 2 years equates to 12 weeks worth of work (40hr week).

Could you, with virtually no knowledge, build a passive income >2.5k pa after 12 weeks in a new field? Painting, writing, mainstream websites, small business etc etc

If you could, good on you, but personally for a hobby i am happy with that amount. Obvisouly the more the better, but i need realistic acheivable goals. Money is not the end result for me, money is the scorecard for this project.

Thanks V, i will try and put in more text. Personally when i go to a porn blog i want to look at pics, and not read a whole slab of text, but from a SEO point of view i guess i should beef up the text to increase traffic.

OK over the weekend and today i have spent another 1.5 hours just posting finding new galleries and signing up to a couple of affiliate programs.

I now have enough affiliate programs until i can prove to myself that i can get consistent sales.

Since i have started three extra blogs, my traffic has already increased 40%. This has flowed through into my UV in my affiliate stats, but no sales as yet.

I have tried to take some members advice on board and pad out the wording of my posts so as to get more SE traffic. My biggest problem is i like it all to flow, so i dont want it to look as though i am just blatantly writing to generate keywords.


As usual, any advice from those in the know is much appreciated

Per day? Only about 35 UV per day across all 4 blogs

As i have always said, traffic generation is the hardest part for me

same here its hard to build traffic on blogs try setting up a facebook and twitter account
