The ripple effect from the MegaUpload take down played itself out long ago and the upload monkeys were on the upswing once again. That is, until AK started playing hardball. AK is the man :thumbsup . |

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'm going to be a little slower today the good old MS is playing up again (makes it difficult to type and move about). I have some more news to report soon.

UptoBox.com has had their Paypal terminated. We are working on closing down all other payment options.
http://stopfilelockers.com/uptobox-c...al-terminated/ |
Hope you adult content producers guys sort AdultKing out for what he is doing? He's a legend. Actually doing something whilst all you other posters argued on an Internet forum with OAPs, pirates and trolls.
|
Large file host PutLocker now has to resort to prepaid cash card payments. Paypal terminated, funds frozen for six months, no chance to start processing with Paypal again. We are also working with Western Union to cut that supply of money off also.

At this point you may edit or remove the 29 june post from home of stopfilelockers.com as whoever lands your site it first reads this (outdated) thing:
"On our site Cold Copy we detail how Paypal benefits from processing payments for file lockers which contain child pornography. [] Despite many reports to Paypal, Visa and Mastercard about the use of their payment services to support file locker operations there has thus far been very little action to curb the problem. " Also, while the daily update posts in blog and twitter fashion is cool, that's not as useful as much as a single page with a list of file lockers and their billers status. Just a table where each row is a file locker, and columns are status for paypal, mastercard or else. This way it is quick and easy to see what file lockers are "done" and what not, also people can see if they know file lockers not in list, and report - for example now I would have no idea if I know of file lockers you do not know of. |

As for a database with search, there is one coming. |

But a big, huge wave of DMCAs... |

I may start other threads wanting DMCA's for some hosts that I am shutting off internet connectivity to but that's another issue. |

I'm taking a short break today as my MS has flared up and I need to rest. I have my volunteers working still but there won't be updates until I'm back in around 10 hours or so.
|
just curious... have you contacted PayPal about DepositFiles?
|
wonder how long this post will last http://www.wjunction.com/1586948-post889.htm
|
Is AVN and XBiz covering this? One guy having more effect in a short period of time than the thousands of us who just bitch and whine.
Here's one I DMCA'ed today - doesn't even have a DMCA abuse link on it. Clearly not compliant with the DMCA. Unfortunately Russian, but using Paypal. http://1hostclick.com |
I see due diligence and checking for illegal porn too taxing. Of course you can screen file names but it's too easy to disguise .rar files and give them very long passwords.
So again, it's just a front and people will continue to upload 100's of gigabytes of illegal content on to file locker servers, they do so because if pedophiles see that much up for grabs and it's relatively safe to download as the logs are so massive and the files get deleted and there is no telling what was in them after that time (usually I think), they want to get it quickly before it's gone and therefore the only way to assure this is to buy a premium membership. I undoubtedly believe all those kinds of uploaders of that stuff have a rev share with the file locker they're working with, 50/50 sale or whatever it may be. Since these things pop up like daisies, when one file locker wises up and maybe even starts cooperating closely with LE, they just move on to the next file locker service. There's no stopping it unless you cut off the funding. |
What's funny about 1hostclicks TOS is they state they don't allow pornography of any kind.

Ok, I'm back in action, albeit slightly slower than usual.
I'll catch up on my email and threads on the forums and then post some more takedowns. Quote:
I'm not forgetting about any illegal file locker though. |

Toucan Sharing, a prolific but fairly clumsy file locker, have had their Paypal and Alertpay/Payza accounts terminated.
They may now have to close up shop according to their news page :( http://stopfilelockers.com/wp-conten...haringnews.jpg http://stopfilelockers.com/toucansha...ite-may-close/ More to come..... |
keep going man...this is fun to watch
|
Quote:
It may be fun to watch, but it's fucking hard, I mean real hard work. It's also costing me alot of money to fund the effort. |

Also has this campaign been sent to MPAA/RIAA yet? Get them coming at it from the same angle and file lockers are a thing of the past. Few care about music and films. different matter on CP. |
Nitrobits want to sue us. We have offered to provide them contact details for our lawyers.

I think I just need to wear the costs myself, unless people want to contact me to make an informal contribution I don't think public calls for donations or money is a great idea. I'm happy to be convinced otherwise. |
WOW
I have been reading this thread on and off for a few day and its pretty amazing. You are doing a great job AK, very well done. Keep it going and if there is anything I can do to help just let me know. |

This man is shattered, spending his own money and having to take constant breaks cos his MS kicks in! Where's the offers of labor and funds from every single one of you adult content producers? You don't have one staff member you could give to AdultKing to help him? Where's that hectomillionaire piracy profiteer with his much talked anti-piracy division with an offer of help? Disgraceful. "What the fuck are you doing?" Piracy doesn't affect me or my business. It affects, however, every single one of you guys. P.S. To take out private torrent trackers, do the Paypal/AlertPay attack to stop them being able to accept donations. That's how they survive. Donations in exchange for ratio. For public torrent trackers, report the ad networks they use to Visa/Mastercard/PayPal. Alot of the networks torrent sites use are self-serve. They need those payment options for the marketers to pay them. If they are not self-serve, they still DO NOT need Visa/Mastercard TMAing their merchant accounts. P.P.S. Bloody hell. It's exasperating to see how much AdultKing has done compared to, well, every single other digital content producer ever affected by piracy. If you guys don't give him a reward and a kickass holiday or a Lamborghini at some reward show, well, you suck. |

What pirates do or say should be disregarded completely - they're in permanent denial of everything that may hurt their ability to make a buck of off other people's stolen property. Argueing with them if futile. We all know what those donations will be used for, and that is the only thing that matters. What pirates have to say on this is irrelevant. And one more thing - please add paxum as a donation option. If you do not have an account there yet, I'm pretty sure RuthB will be more than happy to assist you to get one within the shortest time possible. |

UploadC. Paypal terminated fund frozen for 180 days. No longer allowed to accept Paypal.
http://stopfilelockers.com/uploadc-t...alertpaypayza/ I am working on killing off their Alertpay / Payza funding. |
Is there a transparent way I can collect funds, showing a widget on the blog, also allowing me to be transparent in the way donations are accepted ?
Sorry I don't know much about kickstarter, there is ChipIn but that is flash based and alot of people on iPads are going to the site. |

However, I believe IndieGoGo.com would. |
Quote:
Lots of people using it to fund projects like movies, music and what not. You are probably correct that IndieGoGo might be the better place for this, but Kickstarter would work just as well. |
Quote:
IndieGoGo deals with both products and open-ended projects, like AdultKings. |
Quote:
Regardless, IndieGoGo has had some pretty big donation campaigns...like the old lady bus driver who was berating by middle schoolers on her bus and has received almost $700k in donations. So that might be the best place to do it. I live in the town where all that happened with the Bus Monitor Lady. It's been HUGE news here. Get something up and let's get some donations going towards the cause. |
I can't use IndieGoGo, this type of campaign wouldn't be allowed under their TOS.
I think ChipIn might be the best, but it suggests you set a limit to be raised and I don't know how far or deep this rabbit hole will go yet. One kind person has already privately donated $100 , thankyou to him. |
ChipIn looks awesome. What great tool.
Factor how much is your efforts costing you a day, then ask for a month? I don't know. I'm off to bed. You should be very proud of what you have done. |
eDoc has lost *ALL* payment options. No more premium memberships available now.
http://stopfilelockers.com/edoc-all-...ng-terminated/ We'll be keeping an eye on this site. |

Relatively few of us have Kickstarter accounts, but nearly every one has paxum - publish your ID and the money will start coming in immediatly. You can publish your paxum account transcription weekly if you want transparency, no problem. But let us to help you, by adding by far the most popular adult industry payment option, so we can start sedning you donations ASAP to help funding your cause. You can later add Kickstarter, or any other option you like. But start with what is the simplest and the most popular option - Paxum. |
Couldn't sleep. I made this post on Hacker News. Might drum up a little interest.
