Because the single largest factor that determines ones success as a world class bodybuilder is genetics. That is true with most sports on that level. Drugs, training, diet etc still only raise you to your genetic potential assuming you do everything perfectly.

In simpler terms, genetics play a role in sports performance.

Often times, for lack of using a better terms, theory is fact. I'll use Carl Sagan as my bulldog here.

There wasn't a lot of black body builders at that time. In fact, there wasn't a lot of bodybuilders at all at that time.

There are certainly a lot of black bodybuilders today and one was Mr Olympia for almost a decade.

If the whole "slave descendants being bred for physical perfection" theory is true, why don't the Irish dominate the Olympics?
