Thank U.S.A. for exporting your gun problem north, we owe you one. And for the truly ignorant, we have the longest undefended border in the world, there's is no realistic way to keep guns out of Canada. |
And yet in the same country, a presidential candidate wants to ban porn?
https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1075266 Oh yeah because there is soo many people being killed by the adult sector :1orglaugh More Guns + Less Porn = Win? |

I don't live in fear of going to the movies, the mall, or sending my kid to college. The odds of me or my child facing something like this is pretty much nil. My problem is we hand guns out like it's candy. My friend just got a divorce. His beautiful wife just drop kicked, he lost his house, lives in a crappy apartment, and he has no fucking social skills what so ever. He always wanted a gun, wife wouldn't let him, and now that he doesn't answer to his wife he decided to go out and get one. He passed the background check and went through the waiting period, but no one ever said "Hey, this guy just went through divorced and lost everything and there might be a problem here". They just said "okay" and now he's got a handgun even though he's a perfect candidate for loosing it all and going on a shooting spree. There's no classes, no training, no mental check, no nothing. Take guns out of it. We don't let people drink until they are twenty-one because they are not responsible enough to be trusted with drinking... Yet we have no fucking problem handing out a driver's license at age sixteen. Can't trust a twenty year with a beer, but we can trust a sixteen year old to pilot a guided missile down the same streets you and I drive. Not sure about you, but when I was sixteen I was a horrible driver - and I had a list of tickets and accidents to prove it. I totaled two cars before I was nineteen. At the same time, the guns that are out there need to be locked down. It's a pretty simple concept - I don't live my keys in my car and no one can take my car. If you own a firearm, it needs to be physically on you or locked up, no exceptions. Telling me it's in your nightstand isn't good enough - your kid can get it, someone else's kid can get it, anyone can break into your house and get it. At Lightspeed Cash we had a programmer and one night while I was with him he got pulled over. I had no fucking clue but he had enough firepower in the trunk of his car to start a serious war. He handguns, rilfes, and shotguns... He also a MAC10 and an Uzi. Why the fuck does a programmer need to carry a dozen firearms in his car on a daily basis? |

I'm not for banning guns either but comparing them to cars and spoons is ridiculous. |

This fucker last night isn't going to take a baseball bat or a knife and kill a dozen people in thirty seconds. They use guns because it takes zero prep time, it's instant, and it's difficult to stop a gunman. |

However, on base the legal drinking age was 18 and in town... Well, no one really carded back then. No one cared. |

Within a two week span five houses on my block were burglarized and in one instance the woman was home, she locked herself in the bathroom. And judging by the property taxes I pay, one might reasonably assume that this is supposed to be a "nice" neighborhood. The other day I read about how even the banks are now hiring thugs to break into peoples houses and throw their shit out into the front yard. And these aren't even court sanctioned foreclosures. They're going after homeowners who are just two or three months behind or, in some cases, they target the wrong house altogether. It's getting to be like the wild west all over again. And you're wondering why people down here want to keep guns in their homes? |
The shooter didnt do it, the government that built the roads to drive to get there is responsible.

here in canada, typically the only home invasions involving guns is one drug dealer robbing another. other home robberies are typically either done by kids or drug addicts who have a knife or nothing. there was one outside out of ottawa here a while back where the invader was killed with a baseball bat after threatening the homeowner with a knife. |
the suspect reminds me of this guy

you teach people that killing is okay when you go overseas and murder by the tens of thousands and not even blink an eye
the respect for human life goes down and killing just seems like something people do instead of the fucked up thing it is past 10 years have been war war war - what do you think kids growing up in that time have been shaped to think? |

I'm a forty-three year old former US Marine and I have five identical assault riles in my house. Doesn't it strike anyone as being strange? No one comes to my house to inspect them once every other year, no one checks me out to make sure I'm not seeing a shrink.... My wife had a gun once. She was rather vague about where she got it from; It was just a small handgun. Twenty years later, oddly enough, we aren't sure what happened to it. I knew we had it in Danville (CA) when we first started dating, but shortly afterwards it disappeared. We aren't sure where or when. The problem is someone somewhere most likely has that handgun. There is no fucking tracking for any of this. It's just like getting your driver's license. Pretty much if you can pass an eye test you can drive. You don't need a doctor's note proving your physically fit. Nearly every one has seen that video this week of the white SUV driving in the wrong direction, which is blamed on some "medical condition". My ten year old kid needs a physical to be in sports, but no one needs a physical to drive a car down the road with other drivers? When your twenty-five, that's fine. When your sixty-nine like my mother, that's fucking scary. Is it asking too much to require us to have our firearms inspected once a year if only to prove that we still have them? Is it asking too much to require medical facilities to inform the state or federal government of any medical reasons someone shouldn't own a gun? Is it asking too much that if someone beats down their wife that their firearms be taken away from them? If your doctor believes you are unable to drive a care safely, they can take away your DL. They should do the same with guns. On Medication for depression? First thing they should do before they hand over your pills is see if you have a gun permit. |

Once again I'll have to repeat myself.
If you think making guns illegal wont stop people from getting guns, then why do we make things illegal? Why is heroine illegal? Why is human trafficking illegal? Why is crystal meth illegal? Why is driving drunk illegal? They wont be stopped from happening anyway... right? Why do we lock our doors? People can just kick them in anyway. Why do we post speed limits? People can just go as fast as they want anyway. Why are there ANY regulations whatsoever in any society? People can just do what they want to anyway. HINT: de·ter·rent/diˈtərənt/ Noun: A thing that discourages or is intended to discourage someone from some act. |
And by the way, I dont think they need to be illegal. I think there needs to be more strict REGULATION on who can get a freaking gun. Rights: INTACT. Deal with the opinion.
