i like the format of tumblr.

i have seen adult pics on there BUT i have a feeling that its not easy to convert to sales.

If you post sexy pics then its good, but its not to me the format for text or even links.

Its good for pics, and a very good way to display them. but i bet its not great format to convert people.

one thought though is that the format may be a good way to use as a members area of a paysite.

There used to be different tools of varying quality but now there is actually a plugin.

You can find it in your WP admin panel: Tools > Import

Make 100% sure your transfer worked and is fully functional before deleting your posts on tumblr.:winkwink:

Concerning tumblrs being deleted, I have my most important tumblrs backed up on wordpress installs as unpublished posts because transfers from WP > tumblr are also possible.
This however I have not tried yet.

There is probably a better way to back up your tumblrs if you are more interweb savvy, however this should do the trick for me.

I have 5 tumblr blogs, all different niches. Might have made $93 there in the past few days but I'm thinking it was SE that got those. Tumblr is strange. One post gets 2 reblogs, the next gets 200+. Luckily i enjoy blogging on tumblr so its fun even if i don't make money.

How many posts do you have on each blog?

If you can get some genuine personality going on there that fits with the Tumblr interaction model, just post videos/photos with links and you've got it made in the shade.

Are you talking about clicking thumbs to get to the large image? The default theme shows a large/medium image but you are able to click to get to the larger one.

Another Tumblr question....if I use my domain, say superbabes.com and I am using tumbrl does it still count on the tumblr network for reblogs etc and likes?

I'm thinking tumblr is better than wordpress due to the potential eyes circulating the network? Thoughts?

Tumblr is great. 1000 followers here. I have about 500 tumblr usernames i would like to follow. Is there a way i can add them all at the same time?

Same here, worked hard to build a thumblr blog some time ago.. had good traffic and sales and one day it just got deleted.. contacted them and it was because I was promoting sponsors and making money with it.

They want amateur and teen people to build blogs just for hobby they dont like people doing money with it.

If anyone's blog here didn't got deleted yet, its because they havent found you yet. Simple as that.

So you are saying that I'm always better off using wordpress on my own server versus the dns change to tumblr? Even on non-adult picture sites for fun?
