Glad you're enjoying LA! I suggest checking out Hermosa/Manhattan beach during the day and maybe some Santa Monica 3rd street at night. It's been great beach weather for the past few weeks

L.A. brings back some great memories. First time I ever went I was 21 and had just moved to Cali. First night out walking on Hollywood Boulevard I met three cute Swedish gals who were hitching their way around the States. In the spirit of international diplomacy, I took the opportunity to allow them to stay in my hotel room overnight. :thumbsup

I love LA to visit. Not sure I could live there as the 2 am close down time is a bit much. I would assume coming from the land of equality to the land of excess is a bit of a shocker. Venice beach or Rodeo Drive would be unheard of where you are is my impression of Denmark.

I agree with Vincent's take on LA (from Collateral)

Max: First time in L.A.?
Vincent: No. Tell you the truth, whenever I'm here I can't wait to leave. It's too sprawled out, disconnected. You know? That's me. You like it?
Max: It's my home.
Vincent: 17 million people. This is got to be the fifth biggest economy in the world and nobody knows each other. I read about this guy who gets on the MTA here, dies.
Max: Oh.
Vincent: Six hours he's riding the subway before anybody notices his corpse doing laps around L.A., people on and off sitting next to him. Nobody notices.
