NOTHING has caused more death and misery on this planet than religion.

What book that you have read or religious text do you base your belief in intelligent design? Why do you believe this one part of the story and not the others? They are inseparable. Do you choose only the parts that suit you from the dogmas you have had exposure to.

It's like saying.... well, Adolf Hitler was a freakin' great guy if you just take the positive things he did for Germany like railways, roads economy etc.........
But he wasn't a great guy and he did commit some of the worst atrocities in history. He has to own that shit and so do you.

You have to own the fact that you can't legitimately pick and choose from the bible or any other religious text. All the stupid shit that these books say in direct contadiction or now proven facts and science can't be swept by the way. If part is flawed the whole is flawed. NOT DIVINE, THE WORDS OR MEN....

There's gotta be something way bigger than us that we're connected to somehow, I just don't know what it is or give enough a fuck to find out. I just find it disrespectful to diss somebody over their faith, especially if you can't prove their faith is wrong with nothing other than "but we didn't see it yet so it's fake"... there's a lot of things people didn't "know" until they saw it. And there's a lot of things you have to see with your third eye to get the full picture.

Athiests look just as absurd as religious extremists to me. Making up your mind about something you have absolutely no idea about and trying to shove it down everybodies mouth.

Atheists have started speaking up because we can finally do so without getting killed.(Mostly)
I personally believe that I can't in good conscience sit around and say nothing about religion and god. At every turn christians are shoveling their repulsive dogma upon me and I have had enough of it. I have become genuinely afraid for the future that I may be killed or punished for my non-christian/atheist views. I must speak now to counter balance the christian propaganda machine.

As an agnostic you are just waiting for the day they make you believe it their way. (Or fake belief as most do)

Thanks for explaining this. Romney most have gotten a pair made of horse hair 'cause he wasn't very kind to all the fucking people he shit canned and sent their jobs over seas.

Just sayin'

How do you justify working in porn and god/religion?

True....... I though I might get this omission from someone here but I left it out anyways.
OK.... If not in a written text he most likely got the word of mouth version and the story he got was based upon one of the known books and modified to suit the persons agenda.
Which he then modifies to suit his own needs etc.........
Or........... he just came up with the shit all by himself. In which case he is a prophit or crazy mofo.

I saw the movie the Matrix and that was cool, I think I'll believe that too.

Don't think that force is out of the question for these religious zealots. They will make you conform to there way in the future if they get the chance. That's proven history. (like yesterday in some places)

I'd rather never talk about god/religion again. It means nothing to me, other than it's a cruel part of man's history. I would happily remain silent if if the religious people would do the same.

When you have someone from a religious cult trying to be the most powerful man on earth. People need to speak out.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints/Mormon's is not a cult anymore so than any other Christian Church.

that is very debatable...

maybe not in the US, but outside.

just like Scientology is accepted as "church" in the US and mostly considered a (dangerous) cult outside the US

Is that true "Scientology is accepted as church" ?

Not criminal conspiracy ?

Amazing

Scientology does not have anything to do with Christianity and does not have many followers...where as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does,

Why do Mormons tend to have so many kids? Was that something they picked up in Mexico?

Scientology is a special breed of crazy that sure as HELL shouldnt be able to call itself a "Church" and all the tax loopholes that go with that.. BUT as crazy as that fucked up CULT is.. the Mormons boggle my mind even more - it only takes a little reading about Joe Smith ( the mormons so called Prophet) to deduce with no uncertainty that his whole testament was PURE FICTION... so what is so mind boggling WHY DO THEY ALL BELIEVE IT?

Its not a "Church" its mass hysteria. I was flying over Salt Lake City a little while ago and it actually scared me - HUNDREDS of subdivisions were neatly organized around multitudes of neighborhood temples.. the WHOLE goddamn city is like a beehive of crazy - its like the fucking Invasion of the Body Snatchers or the Stepford Wives...

Scientology has some serious brainwash shit going on but at least its not swarming over a whole state - and some of you guys would actually vote one of these insane nutbags into the Presidency?

Wake the fuck up Republican Smear Monger Obstructionists - You are so determined to make Obama a one-term Pres that you would install a fucking Mormon Drone to infect this Country with this BAT SHIT - FUCK THAT

As far as Scientology goes, I will say one thing. I've lived lived in NYC for the better part of 13 years and the scene down in Chelsea outside of her apartment right after Katie Holmes filed for divorce was really fucking bizarre with all the bodyguards and the Scientologists. It was like a Polanski film.

Care to elaborate?

I lived near the Celebrity Center in Hollywood for 6 years and learned these guys are serious enforcers of the secrecy of the Cult - Katie will no doubt be knocked off if she ever talks. Poor chick is probably terrified.

adendreams 09-04-2012 08:50 PM

Looks like it was a fictional arranged marriage - planned by Cruise and the "Church" - probably to help discourage the gay rumors. (common knowledge in the movie biz that tom is gay)

I have to say I agree with baddog here. Mormonism is no less or more crazy or legitimate than any other religion.

However the real issue here, it that Superfriends was est. in 1973!!! I had no idea I would have guessed early 80's at the earliest. Wow! Mind = Blown

Go do the research. There are few missing links.

They are all related to Homo Sapiens.

So let's go back further.

You are dead right, no one knows what created the Big Bang. If that was a god or anything. Then what created, what created the Big Bang?

No I was being sarcastic. Because every time science advances, the creationists ask so what created that?

Some form of religion has ruled most men, except those who run the religion, for 11,000 years. Still some idiots want to put another religious zealot in power. After Bush you would think they would know better.

Gobekli Tepe: The World’s First Temple? Yet they are finding remains of an earlier one.

What's the odds the guys who ran this lived off the toil of the followers?

Read your bible, the bit about Jesus throwing out the money lenders. He wasn't in favour of temples being used to make money.
