Lot easier to steal a one-piece box from the apple store, than to steal many different parts from various stores... |

I have seen a couple of EVGA Super Record 2 (SR2) Computers on Ebay and Craigslist. I have seen them range from $5k - $12k.. The price mostly depends on the processors. My x5680's ran about $3k for the pair. You can get x5690's which run about $4k for a matched pair. This year EVGA is coming out with the SR-3, up to 36 cores and 128gb of ram. Sweet!! |
fetishwealth, what kind of coolers are those?
I see one on the CPU, what's the other one for? Also, i think a Corsair H100 cooler would work great in your system. I just got mine and love it (much quiter than aircoolers and more efficient) |

The two cooler that you see are not air coolers, those are thermoelectric coolers that use the Peltier Effect to cool the CPU. The Corsair H100 is a good CPU cooler. |

Does it hurt anything to overclock the processor?
My main machine that I'm using in now a couple of years old, has an Intel i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz It was the hot shit when I built it, but I'm sure its quite a bit behind these days. |

only being 128 gigs is why it gets such a low speed rating, I later found out that the bigger the ssd the faster it is. |

I moved the fans to the front of the case for better airflow, done some cable management on the back and put a couple of cold cathode lights in over the week:)
