And if you're a "fiscal conservative", you may want to give this a gander: http://costofwar.com/
War raises your taxes, or increases the debt - there's no way around it.
And you should know our pentagon budget is completely out of control. If you're a "fiscal conservative" you should want a lean, modern, efficient military, not one full of pork spending on cold-war weapons we don't need.
Jesus.

Is that 2009 budget from Obamas last proposal? His only one? lol
Anyway though, I can totally agree with a leaner/meaner military. We do not need old bullshit, but I do know the cost of keeping us ahead of the rest of the world is not cheap.
Its almost like all the other countries rely on the US to make shit happen, or keep an eye on things. They need to be paying into our military fund me thinks! (UN)
Im not a fan of war myself just FYI. All I was saying about the mistake is hindsight is always 20/20 as they say. Two wars plus a silent spy war on terror is not cheap no doubt.
Osama Bin Laden wanted to bankrupt us just as badly as kill americans... he is slowly winning that war. :Oh crap
