Laptop with a 23" extra monitor I bought last month, wireless keyboard and mouse.

Might as well be a desktop.

For the first half the day I use a desktop then I change to a laptop in the evening so I can relax and catch up with the gf etc :) I think having both is best.

I personally can't see how you can work in this business fulltime and work on a laptop. It just limits you in many ways.
