I was at a car show earlier today when I was discussing a 71 Gremlin I used to drive with a balanced and blueprinted 390 from a 71 AMC Javelin, with a 391 rear end. I used to race Corvettes with it and blow their minds.

tough call, because cars are such a matter of personal taste.

but small, fun, luxurious & new. closest thing i can think of is mercedes SLK class.

I drove a corvette almost everyday for 7 years, extremely comfortable and great on gas... plenty of room in the back...
