Honestly, why should I care about an industry that doesn't care about itself? It is no secret that performers who get STDs go visit a 2nd clinic so they can get cleared up and still work in their clean test. Why should anyone respect an industry who allows that? How long until Mr. Marcus is working again? Who was it again who paid him to come out and oppose Measure B? And I still can't wrap my head around that, the guy who got syphilis and spread it to others is opposed to condom use and was paid to take that stance. But again, my comments are offense and ignorant, but Mr. Marcus spreading syphilis is OK and bribing him is just part of a honest days work.

So many in this industry rely on content produced IN LA. On checks from companies based IN LA. If this measure is passed in LA, it is a precedent.

100% nonsense.

What you're saying is, because condoms have to be used that all porn production will stop, which is nonsense and fear mongering. Ask Wicked how they are doing with their condom only movies. I hear they do quite well. If the guys can't hack it with condoms, find better guys or give them caverject. The only thing that is going to change is condoms will have to be used. Many of the girls are escorts and dancers anyway, so it's not like they are all going on skid row, they will be fine.

Agents will make the same amount of money. Models will make the same amount of money. Studios will just be shooting condom porn in LA or shooting it outside of LA. Either way, someone gets a job. What escort loses her gig as a porn girl, or what guy can't keep wood in a condom is really no concern of mine. If some studios have to move, they will. It's called "the winds of change."

Do you have any idea how big the Japanese porn industry is? They cover their private parts with mosaics so you can't even see if they have condoms or not. They use condoms in most French porn, and they are still making porn just fine in France. The prostitutes in the Nevada brothels use condoms and see more cock than any porn set, and they are all OK. Condoms have been used in the gay and tranny porn scene for years and they are not breaking all the time or causing everyone to lose their job. The gay and tranny markets are doing just fine with condoms. Always have, always will.

Condoms suck. There is no other way to say it. But LA is not going to shut down if you have to use them, and all the fear mongering about goggles is not going to pan out the way you've been told it will. Sure, if there are people who are infected on the set, they will have to wear them, but who's going to be hiring infected people?

I understand the fear mongering, I really do, but most of what is being passed around is total lies and misinformation. You are all drinking the kool-aid given to you by a group (*cough*) that has to hide their information on their domain whois.

That said, I would still vote against it if I was still in California because I oppose government meddling between consenting adults. But I really have a difficult time having any sympathy for an industry who's own demise is partly created by the very people who they now pat on the back and control much of what goes on. You reap what you sow.

Yea, I'm sure that's all it is. It makes total sense to add a single donors name, a porn company, to the paypal account, and list it as the account name and reason for the donation.

In an attempt to keep this thread positive, I was really trying not to respond to you anymore.

But you have not uncovered or discovered anything here....No On Government Waste IS being majorly funded by Manwin and is clearly stated as so on the website. And since so many companies turned their back and did not donate, the campaign would never have accomplished what it has without Manwin's donations.

TheSquealer 11-03-2012 09:24 AM

As a passive observer to all of this, I can say that I have yet to see any reason why anyone, much less, the average Joe should care. I actually tuned out at the suggestion that the government wants to require gloves, googles, boots etc which is a retarded notion.

There are no good arguments against the use of condoms. When it comes to the exchange of bodily fluids and contact with contagious disease, I suggest some of you bozos take a look around at how facilities operate in those environments and what laws, rules and regulations exist for everyone's safety. You can't stand in a lab and throw HIV tainted blood at people and argue its everyone's personal choice, that everyone there consented etc.. Why do you think it should happen on a film set?

This business is full of selfish, self serving and short sighted idiots and was always doomed to fail.

Redrob 11-03-2012 09:40 AM

I believe in personal choice.

A performer should not be penalized for asking for condoms and everyone should be tested for all major STDs (Aids, Syp, Gon, Cly, Herp, etc.) You should know who and what you are working with. Also, when actively performing, talent shouldn't be "escorting" (ie. fucking outside their significant other and the tested talent pool).

Just my opinion.

Yes, I can see they donated a lot of the money that they made off the backs of others. That was kind of them. But then again, they have the most to lose. However, that still doesn't explain adding "Manwin USA" to the paypal account of the top secret organization who has to hide their whois information and no one is allowed to say who is part of the organization. Then you have Fabian say in another thread that no one should even ask where the money is going and should just take his word for it.

See, the problem with porn valley and all the ridiculous leeching organizations in it, is that no one is allowed to ask relevant questions about where the money is and who is really behind something, or what they even do to justify their existence. When you do, you are met with fierce opposition and made out to be a bad guy. Nothing smells more of shady activity than something that is kept secret. Then you ice the shit cake by supposedly adding Manwin's name to the paypal account, while trying to make people believe they are not touching the money? Or was it part of their donation terms, which probably violates paypals TOS to have porn companies advertising their name within a paypal account. Not a smart move, but that would be expected from the people hiding behind this new top secret organization, who are probably just the usual suspects. But then again, smart moves is what got the law suit filed when Fabian's foreign company illegally sent funds to the cause.

And most companies turned their back and didn't donate because they either see through the BS everyone is spreading, or do not care what happens in LA or Manwin, who is at the root of all of this and everyone knows it. But desperate times make people desperate, so here everyone is, sucking the tit of the largest pirate operation in the world, patting them on the back, all while they continue their thieving path of destruction. It's incestuous and pathetic to be honest.

I don't think anyone will disagree with that, other than those who are trying to hide the true STD infection rates of the industry.

The problem is, performers don't get a lot of work if they choose condoms. Many of the top companies do this and Manwin is guilty of it as well, according to some of the girls who have worked for them.

After all this time, after all the infections, the industry STILL doesn't mandatory test for all sexually transmitted diseases, which is funny considering it is the sex industry. "It takes time" Fabain said. No it doesn't. People's lives at are stake. You get the job done and protect those who are taking the risk for your company. Anything else is a self centered, bullshit excuse. And this is one more reason why you are about the be regulated.

Do you have the term 'fear mongering' on permanent copy/paste?

Are you suggesting that companies supporting this campaign such as Vivid, Hustler, MetArt, Wicked, Evil Angel, - the list goes on and on - are stupid sheep who cannot comprehend a political bill on their own?

If Manwin had not donated, or had donated less, you would find a reason to cry about that too I suppose?

the up side of Manwin donating publicly is that this thread would otherwise have been dead by now on page 10 = less eyes on the cause. Thanks DWB!!!!

Considering most of them have given large sums blindly to the FSC for years and received nothing in return buy incompetence, yea, I'd say they are sheep. At least in regards to who they give their money to. In regards to Met-Art, considering they used to shoot nudes of 11 - 14 year old girls, I'd like to call them a little more than sheep, but I will refrain.

But that doesn't mean they should not give to this cause. Even I gave money for this. The problem is the lies being told to promote it, which stems from the top secret organization running it and those repeating their lies, trying to scare everyone into supporting and donating.

Like I've said 20 times, I oppose B, but not to support the industry. And the only reason my feathers are ruffled is because I'm tired of reading the lies on every social platform online currently, and all of you still trying to justify the nonsense. People are even hitting up my cam girls (in another country I may add) and trying to scare them into voting or they will have to pay fines. It's ridiculous.

The truth is often very painful. It's usually rejected at first. But what I said is exactly the truth, and if it insults any of them, good. It was supposed to. Manwin is a virus who has done more destruction to this industry than anything else.

What sickens me, what makes me "cry," is watching people like yourself pat them on the back for what a good job they have done, while they have fucked, and continue to fuck, every company in the industry repeatedly. Which leads us back right back to my desperation comment.

It is also no secret that Fabian has his hands in all of this and is hiding it. Why else for all the secrecy? Why else the huge donations? The FSC shows their whois information, so does APHSS. We even know who is part of those groups. Yet the organization that Fabian is allegedly controlling is top secret, while the Manwin name ends up on the paypal account. The only information you can get about this organization is that they are an organization who is going out of their way to hide who is behind it. What's that old saying, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

You should pass that quote along to Fabian. He loves to belittle anyone who doesn't instantly polish his knob.

Nathan 11-03-2012 09:39 PM

I insult people that keep insulting me or that show a big appetite in conspiracy and see Manwin as the ultimate evil. And why shouldn't I, considering they do the same.

I do not even get what evil interest I should have in running this campaign, it just does not make any sense. There is no upside for Manwin. We likely are the one hardcore producing company that has the least to worry about this. But because I care and try to help, I get somehow blamed.

The whole testing thing also, why the fuck would I want to control testing, it makes no sense. The liability would be much too high. I am amazed that I saw no claims yet that I bought TTS because they are now in APHSS..

These claims are ridiculous and stupid.

epitome 11-03-2012 10:01 PM

Fabian did you buy TTS since they are now part of APHSS?

I'm guessing that your post could be in reference to my No on Prop 35, No on Measure B photo/video, since I see no mention of a Prop B anywhere in this thread.

Prop 35 is a statewide ballot initiative, and Measure B is a local jurisdiction ballot measure pertaining specifically to Los Angeles.

The group we interviewed in my video, Sex Workers Outreach Project, was addressing both issues, since they both affect the adult industry.

If you notice, what I posted on my website is addressed to LA voters, and it clearly specifies Measure B.

Would really like to see which video(s) are being used on TV.

Likewise, what are the proponents of the measure airing on TV? (they had a much larger political war chest with which to pay for TV ads, which reach a broad section of the local electorate).

Well the porn industry in France is not what it used to be. If it was I would have never left it and gone back home. But you are right on many things and inadvertantly you struck upon what makes porn work.. the equation that « less is more ».

The United States porn industry is dying because in typical cowboy ways it got too big for itself, it got too loud and started to attract others looking to make a dollar from them and /or of those that want to see porn die. If the porn producers had put down their egos and stopped trying to prove how big and bad they were, then the united states porn industry would not be in the trouble they are today. Perhaps the best thing that could happen to the United States porn industry is if it was once again made illegal.

As for measure B... Good luck to everyone and I honestly mean that.

But the sad commentary is that if this measure becomes law. Then any porn producer that is not in Los Angeles will suddenly find themselves with marketing advantage by being able to produce condomless porn.

Thank you again!

I've done what little I can from up here in Northern Cali. It is the stilettos and Doc Martins on the ground there in LA (and the fundage) that is making the biggest difference, so keep it up.

Less than 24 hours to go... :smilie_we
