Damn you go drinking Saturday night and you still feel hung over on Monday? Damn thats crazy and I am a bit older than you. If I had that I would quit as well, longest hangover I experienced was till the evening of the next day.. Like Drinking Saturday night and waking up shitty on Sunday and feeling bad till Sunday evening. But still feeling bad the next day..? Must suck.
|
The only shitty part for me is blacking out.I hate that. I'm ok if I just stick to beer but shots are like peanuts you can't have just one

I heard about it so many times, cheers :thumbsup

Sad that you have to realise that the only way out is to stop something.
I have cut down the booze by 85% without having to stop. I only have a few drinks on the weekends but i respect the fact that you had to do it this way. Keep it up !!!!!! |

I have complete control, if I wanted to drink 1 or 2 or 10 it is totally easily in my power, but I choose to drink zero, because there is really nothing good about it. why would I want to poison my system even once a month? I'm now into putting good things into my body so it makes no sense to drink alcohol :2 cents:

I've adjusted my drinking habits immensely over the past 5 years or so. For one, my days of doing a bunch of shots are pretty much done. I no longer go to bars either, but then again I'm well out of the party days of my 20's and 30's.
The key to negating a hangover is to down a glass of water every few hours while drinking throughout the evening, and down one more right before you go to sleep (or pass out as the case may be). Get in that habit, of drinking water in between drinks, and you'll lessen a bad hangover by as much as 80%, and negate a mild hangover alltogether. I now have just a few drinks from time to time, a glass or two of wine with dinner now and again, and maybe once a year I have enough to actually get good and drunk. But thanks to the water trick my hangover days are done as well. |

I hear what your saying. One is too many, but it will never be enough. I have a few friends that managed to follow the steps of AA. Most importantly, my Dad quit at 47, my Mom a bit later. If you look into AA, it probably won't hurt you. |

Oh I can the clear picture now.
Who wants to hire a DRUNK CODER? Even if you stop drinking, you will never STOP being a drinker in the head... BTW, any plans to lose your OVERWEIGHT? You have many pounds in vain. |
Such stupid negative comments. Just do what you want don't listen to anyone, and good luck with your plan to stop drinking :thumbsup

i am not a quitter...
gettiing out of control drunk is something you do when you are younger, hangovers too - seems to have diminished with age. when you age you learn to drink and be fine the next day. |
