And for people saying that guns need to be illegal in the US, well they are illegal as hell in Mexico and Mexico has about 100 times more deaths related to guns than most any country.

its all gang related though. how often do random mass shootings happen there?

Just wait till some idiot shows up here saying that whoever did this shit could have easily done it without access to guns. Or some other fool saying that once take away guns, thieving will go rampant.

Guns are cool until it's your kids getting shot up. Fuck your guns, you reap what you sow.

punish the majority which obey the law? you want a civil war? try and take the guns :2 cents:

When you look at the statistics the US is the biggest shithole when it comes to gun crime in the western world. Funny enough this is the same country where every gun owner screams and cries how guns make everything more safe.

Rochard 12-14-2012 11:41 AM

Holy fucking shit - 27 killed? 18 kids?

Very well stated.

When I went to school there was no security of any kind. NO children had their mothers waiting in long lines to pick them up from school monitors after school. We would either ride a bus, walk, ride our bicycles. The same gun laws were in effect then as now.

Now schools are in lock down environment with security guards and cameras everywhere. What has really changed? Not gun laws.

Again I'm not defending guns as much as stating that in our society guns are here to stay and if illegal would be available on any street corner along with heroin, cocaine and anything else illegal.

Yep, with the exception of 3rd world countries the US is 2nd in gun deaths per capita, South Africa, the country with the most liberal gun laws is first.

they have strict DUI laws. some states you do it once and you lose your license for up to a year. no one is saying do away with guns, just alter the law to make it tough and have more restrictions.

J. Falcon 12-14-2012 11:47 AM

Guns are here to stay.

Yup, and so are mass shootings.

Meanwhile gun manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank.

johnny o 12-14-2012 11:49 AM

Along with the NRA, who is nothing more than a marketing and lobbying front for the gun manufacturers.

and there were no mass shootings at schools either. people have changed it seems, so do we continue to allow it to happen or do something about it? if gun control isn't the answer, and I will say its a poor one that doesn't address the root cause, but what can we do to stop these?

Didn't somebody in this thread already make a joke about the pool analogy?

It's like arguing with children.

I would imagine it is. This is why I'm baffled that people still continue to defend their "freedom" to carry guns, simply because it's was written a piece of paper 200 years ago.

This has the makings to be one of the worst shootings ever. Hopefully it will be a game changer for gun control (as sad as that may sound).

flashfire 12-14-2012 11:59 AM

Slavery was cool 200 years ago too, so why change

BlackCrayon 12-14-2012 11:59 AM

why would anyone shoot a school for kids up to grade 4?

The stupidity is so predictable...

There will always be massacres regardless of gun laws or the use of guns.
