Actually, on further reflection I can see your point. He is just an avid "Antiques Roadshow" viewer and was keen to check out the awesome vintage clothing handed down from granny up in the attic. The guy bypassed all the family jewels (almost always kept in the master bedroom), the flat screen TV, stereo etc, and decided to go up to the attic to check out the 1960's record collection and old furniture gathering dust up there.

Several home invasions now happen in the light of day with people home.

Friends home was broken into ( no one home) alarm went off for 42 minutes before police arrived... A Loud siren alarm that is to hurt the intruders as well as the silent alarm for the alarm company and police.

Lots of things were taken in that 42 minutes (well less since they were not there when the police arrived to fill out the paperwork)

Good thing no one was shot... LOL
