I haven't drank any kind of soda in years.....

Having said that, it's a proven stat that over 90% of people that breath the earths atmosphere die within 80 years. We need to get the hell off of this deadly planet!

Because it's very, very addictive. The rush I get from a cold glass of coke is something I can't explain. It lasts only a second or two, but it is very powerful.

We're talking about the drink not the powder. Just an FYI.

Possibly those who are depressed over things such as their weight are more likely to drink diet drinks rather than diet drinks causing depression. ;)

Question answered with the first reply... :thumbsup

- 102 percent higher multiple myeloma risk (in men only)
- 31 percent higher non-Hodgkin lymphoma risk (in men only)

The research in the first link says the test group and the control group had the same results....

The best that they can say is it did not rule out a connection.

Not exactly 'conclusive' is it?

On it's own it's just one study, one warning of possible dangerous effects, but when combined with everything else that's already in the equation, it's clear that anyone who consumes Aspartame regularly is risking their life. :2 cents:

Yea no kidding, its just so easy to work while having them but starting today I am cutting back and hope this time next week I will be off them damn things... They do have a hold on me almost like being a drugie. :(

RKLover 01-09-2013 11:34 AM

Probably causes depression because they drink the Diet Soda to accompany their double cheeseburger and large fries, then wonder why they cannot lose weight.

Then again, a Diet Cola mixes well with cheap Brandy, Rum or Whiskey. Alcoholism can cause a lot of depression as well

Good stuff, after a certain amount of time you won't crave them anymore and you'll feel a lot better :thumbsup

If I recall right, you have heart problems? And a couple younger boys?

I'm sure you already know this, but if you want to live to see your grandkids, you need to change your lifestyle. Today.

When you look into the studies you see that industry-funded studies are based on lies and manipulation. :2 cents:

grumpy 01-09-2013 11:40 AM

its also proven to be a source for cancer, why its still in drinks is beyond me.

Your body tends to crave what it gets used to. Drink water for two weeks and you will start to crave water. For me it only takes a few days.

Try it.

Jesus man, I've never been one to tell someone how to live but if you're into energy drinks that much, I'd kindly recommend picking up a tub of Gamma Labs gFuel. http://www.gammalabs.net/product-gri...ick-packs.html

I gave up pop and energy drinks for a couple years now, never felt better. I'm 99% water (lemon water actually)... but if I need some caffeine or a pre-workout, these are what I go for. I honestly think they taste better than Red Bull/Monster/whatever too. No sugar either. Highly recommended.

Google some reviews on it: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...9886683&page=1

water is really the only thing you can drink large amounts of without negative effects. i used to drink a 2 litre of pepsi a day. i completely stopped and only have half a can once in a blue moon as a treat. i lost 30 pounds just by not drinking pop anymore and felt so much better.

kyro 01-11-2013 10:13 AM

why do people make stupid posts here? Its amazing fat people who drink diet drinks are depressed. I would have never thought that!

HomerSimpson 01-11-2013 11:28 AM
