Well, the muslim religion is unique in that it allows it's followers to do anything they wish and justify it as right in the eyes of Allah. So in some muslim countries, women are treated as property because Allah says that's ok. Young girls become "wives" aka sexual objects at the age of 11 and live in harems. You also get a whole lot terrorism because Allah says it's okay to kill those who fuck with you.
