Her show looked like a Vegas show production-wise.
Not really much "singing" or real music being played onstage (a lot of fake horn player chicks dancing around to obvious synthesizer horn parts). After watching it, I wasn't sure what I had seen. It definitely wasn't a musical act playing in concert. It was a big visual spectacle and mildly entertaining. And even thought she actually did the vocals...it appeared to me that they deliberately chose pieces of songs that are real, real easy to sing. Definitely no Celine Dion moments vocally up there. I'm just not sure what to call what she did: It wasn't really a band playing, a singer singing, or a dancer dancing. It was like a tiny bit of each done kinda half ass with a huge production that produced a very vanilla, sweet syrupy show that left me feeling the same way I do if I read a gossip magazine or watch reality television. |
She looks nasty at halftime

I think it's a shame that all the women were dressed up like 2 dollar hookers on a so-called family show...
Guaranteed I'm the only person on this forum who thinks that way lol... |

And God knows we wouldn't want kids seeing good looking women dressed sexy in the middle of a game that is 100% violence. lol I bet you wouldn't like the "ring girls" at an MMA or Boxing event either. :1orglaugh |

People will argue... so what? It's on every other TV show and movie anyways... but I think that is also a problem... |
I don't see how someone can get so famous prancing around in those fucked up costumes, singing crappy songs that aren't actually music. It doesn't make sense.

50 smooth Beyonce cunts.
And don't be ridiculous. Beyonce is high end, so I'm sure she either waxes or gets laser. Shaving is for people who don't love excellence. |

If you've ever been to a game, you also know it's all about drinking and cussing and raising hell. Yeah, kids watch it. But I also used to sneak around and look at my Dad's Playboy magazine when I was a kid too. lol I guess they try to make it some kind of happy face family entertainment. But I just never thought of Football and something like Disney (family entertainment) as being one and the same EVER. I would think that most parents would realize that the Super Bowl or any football game is really meant for adults to enjoy. The fact that kids enjoy violence is just a nice side effect for the ratings. lol It just seems crazy and backwards that parents were "outraged" when Justin Timberlake pulled one of Janet Jackson's tits out for a second during half time or that you would see a problem with girls dancing and dressing sexy all during the half time of a brutally violent game (and I LOVE football...but it is what it is). It's almost like we tell our kids in every way that violence is great! Violent sports, violent video games, etc. But sexuality and/or nudity is BAD. It can't be seen by children EVER!!! Even though it's as natural as breathing air. Just seems like our society is backwards. And then we wonder why so many people do so many violent things. Maybe if they were less sexually repressed and frustrated and less turned on by all the violence they see as children...some of these problems wouldn't exist. |

i never thought sissy mainstream, half decent looking women who male football fans dont have an interest in would be part of the halftime show. i mean last year it was 50 year old madonna and nicki minaj. Justin timberlake? Katy perry?
heres how i think it works. the game is for the men. the commercials are for the wives. and halftime is for their teenage daughter |

I personally loved her performance. I was excited to see Destiny's Child reunite, and I don't think there was one female on my Facebook or Twitter timeline who didn't go absolutely crazy over it. Those of us who grew up on Independent Women/Bootylicious/Bugaboo/Telephone/Say My Name/Jumpin' were pretty much chomping at the bit for this performance. And it didn't hurt ticket sales for her new tour either - presale tix are gone! |
