Is that from the scanner? I'd assumed he would be smart enough to know that once he entered a home and barricaded himself, that it would be over. I would think he would have done anything possible to keep moving unless he was wounded in the shoot out with the 2 cops.

Fox News says he had a shootout in front of the house with an officer, went into the house, the other officer went around back and had a shootout with Dorner there as he was escaping through the back.

Perhaps he isn't in the house.

yes my friend relayed this via scanner (see my post above), that the rear door was open and there were footprints in the snow heading away from the cabin

he was local to Big Bear acc. to my friend (meaning not swat or other LE from PD from other area)

He shot them cause the girl was the daughter of a police chief who was involved with him being fired from the LAPD

He stated he would wage war on the police and thats exactly what he is doing, he never killed the guy who he hijacked the car from or the two people he tied up in the house. This guy is out to kill cops and get revenge for him being fired, pretty sad that he ended up killing people and a very skewed way to get justice for the loss of his job.

If it's true that there were hundreds of rounds fired at the cabin and Dorner was not in there, that means the police showed up and just opened fire on the place with no regard to who is inside. This would be consistent with the mistaken identity truck shootings a few days ago.

I bet those cops are so on edge and very weary of this guy so it dont suprise me if they acted like that

There are different issues that get mixed up with this case. Clearly it is wrong to kill anybody much less police. That can not really be defended. He will die.

However, shooting civilians in the hunt for him, has made it so that the LAPD are on trial here too. People are right to be upset about that.

It doesn't make it okay for Dorner to have killed people.

also said he was seen buying diving gear, so if they use tear gas in the cabin he could use the googles and oxygen tank if thats what he purchased

Yeah, but he had to leave most of his gear behind when his truck shit the bed so I doubt he has any of that stuff on him now.

The scanner said there was a single shot inside the residence after the fire started and now there is exploding ammo.

That's pretty much done deal, if that's the case.. he took himself out.

So what ever a "burner" is they obviously knew it would start a fire.
