I remember when Jonas started showing up again at shows in 2008/9 and tried to get everyone believing it was a "new" iBill, even though he was one of the main guys from the "old" iBill.
I thought he was a Nigerian prince trying to get me to TAKE his money...damn his convincing emails!

They have real processing and real working join forms etc:

If you are indeed a changed company (in terms of personnel), then you should be able to answer a few simple honest questions to those of us who lost thousands to iBill -

What happened to our money, and what can we do to recover it?

Until you can answer that, do not expect anyone that iBill still owes thousands to, to ever forget or let iBill off the hook.

Most of us have moved on, but would still like to know what happened to our money. It didn't just evaporate. So kindly explain where our money went or never expect a day of peace posting on behalf of the company name that is synonymous with the biggest rip-off ever in the industry.

As I said, we have nothing to do with the old company so that is all I can say.

No we are not the same people. If you look back at http://business.avn.com/articles/iBi...ny-350021.html you will see they ran a story on us after we got going. So no, this is not something fake. If you search, you will see a few stories on XBIZ and AVN about iBill.

Also, your money is more safe with iBIll then a brand new processor as strange as it seams because of the fact that iBIll has been put under so much scrutiny by the banks when we got started, we were watched more closely then any other processor.

Now with going on 5 years and rebuilding a name, wouldn't you think a few people complaining on here about us not paying out would do more damage then if the same people were talking about ccbill or epoch? That would put us back where we were 5 years ago.

Agreed. They had the dubious honor of being the first entity in adult to rip me off, and I hadn't been in adult long when it happened. Memory says it was late 04 or early-to-mid 05 when it started unraveling.

Sept '04...and myself and a guy I was partnered with on nearly 35 solo girl sites at the time were screwed out of thousands of dollars.
I "the new iBill" {LOL} was the ONLY online processing choice, I would not use them, even if the new version company paid us back in full....not in a MILLION years.

So what do you mean by that. New people bought the company, but didn't keep the records, or you aren't curious in the least as to what happened to everyone's money, and are just gosh darn surprised that so many people still feel that your company name is toxic.

Pretty sure that is not all that iBill can say, but rather that is all that they choose to say, which is NOTHING. This is a total cop-out and an insult to anyone that once trusted the name iBill but then were ripped off massively by iBill.

At least everyone knows now that you don't actually care what happened to anyone's money that once trusted the company named iBill, but were badly burned by them. Apparently all that counts is that you are collecting a paycheck from them today. Got it... :321GFY

I bet if someone currently at iBill made a little effort, they could at least come up with some form of a legitimate explanation. If you can't be trusted to do that, then I feel that you don't deserve the trust of anyone in this industry.

Konda 02-20-2013 10:36 PM

I agree that it's not a good idea to use the same name. But with this 'new' ibill there are less old ibill people involved compared to segpay, yet tons of people use segpay.

The new ibill has been around for a few years and they do pay and are legit, but yes, stupid to not just use another name.

When they introduced the new ibill here a few years back they got the same comments as now. I don't understand why people are surprised to see ibill here like it's something new, they have been back for a few years already.

iBill 02-20-2013 11:44 PM

Look, Konda is 100% right, there are former iBIll people working for Segpay and people don’t seem to have a issue with that because they work for a different name now. What if I had those people here with iBill, no one would trust us. There are people who are upset with the name and I understand that.

Let me ask you a question, when was the last time you took Tylenol or when was the last time you had Jack in the Box? Remember when Tylenol was laced with cyanide and killed people. What about the e coli out break at Jack in the Box? They did not change their names.

Look, I know a lot of you lost money on the old iBill and for that I am deeply sorry. If you think about it, what is your risk with next day payouts? 1-2 days processing? That is why we started offering the next day payouts, iBIll name or not, we would have to be considered a safe option in the grand schema of things with the way we payout.

Thanks,

Jonas

I want to add something witty about:

a) Where is my money?
b) Why would a "new" company want a name and logo with the opposite of goodwill associated with the brand?

But y'all already covered it.

No, nothing to do at all. The old company name "IBill"
The new company name "IBill"

Same logo, same bad PR.

"so that is all I can say." Doesn't sound like new company policy to me.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute! JONAS Brown, aka Ibill, OP of this thread...

WHAT ABOUT THIS???:
http://business.avn.com/company-news...es-387577.html

This in a nutshell:
https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=956104

Brown added, “Until now, there was no recourse, but earlier today our Board approved payback to all merchants who have a valid iBill promissory note.”

On April 7th, the company will release the new iBill 2.0. payment processing system. This newly developed, web-based technology will include a payback option for former iBill merchants.

Brown continued, ‘This is our way of saying we understand. It is important that we rebuild our image and establish trust with those who utilize our services. This solution will go a long way toward that goal and benefit all parties involved.”

According to Brown, details of the payback will be released on April 2nd, when a tour of the new iBill will be offered. A press release will follow there after. If you would like to register for the free webex, simply go to: ibill net webex aspx

Denver, CO - It is a well-known fact that doing business with the old company known as iBill was a less than profitable experience from 2002-2007. Merchants often accepted worthless promissory notes with nothing more than hope of a future payout. For many, those notes are still tucked away in a closet or file cabinet. Much to their surprise, that long awaited payday has arrived.

On Saturday, February 27th, iBill President and CEO Jonas Brown announced that the newly founded iBill will honor all promissory notes issued by the former company of the same name. “I know there are a lot of honest people out there who have waited far too long for this day. I’ve received numerous phone calls from former merchants who lost their sites as well as their only source of income. They were forced to turn to friends and family to pay rent and car payments while they waited on payment from iBill. These people deserve the money they earned and I’m proud to say we now have a solution to honor those debts.”

Brown added, “Until now, there was no recourse, but earlier today our Board approved payback to all merchants who have a valid iBill promissory note.”
