It would be very interesting to hear why do you think that your country is more democratic than another one(s) and what exactly do you mean by "freedom of speech"? Please explain it with examples. E.g: "In <put your country name here> I have more freedom than in <put another country name here> because I can..."

Thank you in advance!

:) Why you are bothering at all? Especially on GFY where average education level and intellectual capabilities are very, very low. Of course that no one of us is free. It is impossible to be. Only really mentally limited person can't see that (it is not important from what country it is coming) or person that is afraid to admit it. If I would have to choose, I would decide to live in Norway, or Sweden or something like that.

I think is the US we are losing our freedoms at an alarming rate because of home land securities and the Patriot Act. On paper, yes, but authorities are changing the name of what they are doing to get around the laws.
Our leaders are lying at extreme levels and are not held accountable.
They say they are doing something about illegal immigration, they are, they are educated them on how to properly use our food stamp program.
Anti gun politicians are trying to take guns rights away because of what criminals are doing?
list goes on and on

Yes you are absolutely right, the freedom is an illusion and the democracy is a myth like a communism. You know it, I know it and all the educated people here know it too. However it's very interesting to hear those tho think that their jail is bigger that yours or mine. Especially when they are asked to explain it with examples.

This is now visible to anyone, but many Americans still believe in freedom they are given the day they are born. Only Rooski troll plays this shitty game here - is trying to call you out and prove you're loosing freedom you were given that Russians NEVER had and most likely won't have.

Vend. I'll tell you the secret: we are loosing our freedoms contemporaneously all over the Wold - in the USA, EU, Russia and everywhere else. Our governments are afraid of Internet. They may pretend they are not, but they are. It was just a nerd's play 20..10 years ago but now they have realized the real danger of global communications. The borders became transparent, their propaganda doesn't work anymore (at least for capable and educated people) and this makes them shit into their pants.

P.S. I'm still against the free gun flow, if it does matter for you :)

Then you go with this , I guess: https://youtube.com/watch?v=dqRIukpA2vw
Or any of those hardcore violence police videos of shooting and killing citizens and then asking questions later like in western movies. I am not pointing to US specially , I am just saying what you are saying no one of us is really free and it is illusion like many other things that people are swallowing without problem. And it will be harder and harder to remain free even so much with technology advancing and groups of people getting more and more wealth.

You're not only stupid, you are also a manipulative mind, I would not want to make an extent on the Russian people reading your "thoughts", but at some point you're clearly mental.

I know what you are talking about. I was visiting the USA much more times than I was visiting any other country. Course I didn't have such problems because I always been there as a tourist but not as a citizen. However even I know that it's dangerous to even argue with the US police (in my country you can say them "fuck off motherfuckers!" and they won't do anything to you for that (e.g. the policeman just tried to threatened with a weapon and has lost his job for that), but in some other countries they can shoot you dead like a dog.

In Russia, I'm sure you have a lot more freedoms than you had under the USSR.
Here in the US, people just stop caring what rights they lose as long at the politicians are backing a cause they believe in. the US is a very complicated country in that we have such wide variety of people in it.

the Log cabin republicans that believe they are US citizens first, gay second. I think if people looked more to what's best for the country than what's best for just them, the country would be in a better place. Because politicians would not have the excuses to fall back on to get re-elected.

I understand what you're saying, but I also believe that the government has just had to rethink things as the internet is concerned. They use it to get a message out and count on the short attention span of most to get away with things. Just like Obama having doom and gloom messages about the sequester and nothing he foretold happening has.

I'm against free gun flow, not everyone should have a gun, but the liberals that want to take gun rights away are doing so as a power move, they will put something in place they can expand on later, like that Diane Feinstein , funny how she has a problem with gun ownership yet has had a carry permit.
I grew up with guns, my dad grew up with them, my daughter grew up with them. The only people that have anything to fear from us would be people that want to instill fear in us!

I didn't know that. I'm also grew up with guns too (started shooting this gun when I was 9-10 y/o) and I consider myself a good shooter even now. However I don't want to make it available for everyone in my country. You can buy any hunting weapon here absolutely legally (e.g. Saiga) but you can't buy an assault riffle or a gun).

I know what are you talking about. That is result of constant paranoia and fear because guns are available all over. Of course, many people are using that position to feed their sadistic needs, but fear and feeling on insecurity are on first place.

I learned with a BB Gun, Daisy Red Rider, My name came from an old western TV series, Maverick (Bret Maverick, although mine is spelled Brett). I was hunting I think around 9 or ten and had a hunting license at age 15 or 16.
I have used my AR-15 for protection. I have also used it for hunting rabbits. The .223 cartridge is great for small game.

The main people that shouldn't get a gun are the ones that leave it loaded and where their kids have access to, that's not the guns fault.
Soon as my daughter was about 8, I started teaching her the responsibility of having firearms. At 14 she was damn good with a M1 carbine. I never worried about having guns in the house with her
