then you are only left with idiot customers who are addicted to online ponzis or drugs or whatever and predatory exchangers who are just looking to rip as much as possible...normal people will not stay...its a spiral...

bitcoins are exactly like 1mdc...1mdc was a currency within a currency...no office, no bullshit, low low fees because none of the money actually left the egold pool account, secure as fuck, anon like nothing I have ever seen...for fucks sake there was not even a field where you could enter your name :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh I mean they plain did not give a shit! what really killed 1mdc was that everybody left at the first sign of trouble...they never recovered...neither did evocash...neither did egold...nor will bitcoins...

Its not already moving underground, thats how it started. Bitcoins already had one really hard crash and it recovered, but they will never disappear unless there is some problem with the code itself. It can go to 50 cents for all I care its still there and people will use it. Even if its just used for gambling, drugs and porn that is a HUGE market. They will never stop person to person transactions.

Here are the people buying and selling in Madrid right this moment. No exchange needed. You are comparing apples to oranges here. P2P currency is different than what you were dealing with.

Had no idea so many bitcoins have been stolen.

http://www.computerworld.com/s/artic..._i n_bitcoins
http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/8/408...rom-bitinstant

Ouch. One of them they took over the domains, another they got the user database.

it is exactly like 1mdc...most trades and exchanges to cash or other currencies were done person to person...even exchange there was a button to convert egold to 1mdc and back and there was even an automatic exchange system between currencies no other person was even needed...

your list of bitcoin exchangers with their price and stock is EXACTLY what was on offer on forums, minus the geo location in km this is indeed a new fancy feature that was not available back in the day...nor did it matter you could cash out without visiting anybody...

the best of luck to everybody who thinks this is somehow different...

Dirty F 03-27-2013 05:33 PM

Calm down girls. Nowhere in this thread did i claim to be the first to mention Bitcoin and invest in it.
However those who listened to me now would've doubled their money ;)

Dirty F 03-28-2013 12:49 AM

93 dollars. Will it hit 100 today :Graucho

nexcom28 03-28-2013 12:57 AM

I had a dream last night they would hit $137 then drop.

On another note, I am having trouble buying bitcoins, if any one wants to send me some, 16VKKP9mj2HWyrNpvBFxcVywxgCsLahwEk

Joshua G 03-30-2013 02:24 AM

congrats to the winners. gotta wonder if all the funny money that cannot be put in cyprus anymore is getting steered to bitcoins. which, just IMO, does not bode well for long term prospects.

But i hope predictions this will become viable & threaten traditional money transfers come true. banks are not far behind drug dealers & terrorists as the most wicked people in the world. anything that can creatively destruct wall street is a godsend to me.

they are the most powerful people in the world and bitcoins is a minefield on thin ice...agree with you that the banks are assholes...

This has been one of the best advices GFY has ever had.

Anyone that followed Dirty F's advice on March 15 when Bitcoins where like $50 would have more than tripled their money if they would sell today at $170

Me thinks you buy a lot of bitcoin on a suspicious site and when you want to cash them out you cant.

That's why you mine them. You are buying them from people who minded them or bought them from people who mined them.
Of course the hardware is so crazy expensive that most can't afford it.

Sell them off slowly. Don't make the mistake I did... sold almost my entire holdings earlier this year, 11 BTC @$46, because I thought the value was going to crash. It did end up crashing, but settled well above $46, and look at it now...
