Switzerland, beloved poster child of gunloons everywhere, has the highest gun homicide rate in Europe. Go figure.

You can live without firearms. You cannot live without automobiles. You do not need a rifle to hunt; You can hunt using a bow and arrow. But without automobiles food would not be available at your local grocery story.

Every day every American uses or eats something transported on a car or truck, while some Americans will go their entire lives without ever having to touch a firearm. My wife drives every day of her life, but has never touched a firearm.

You can't compare firearm deaths to automobile deaths. Firearm deaths are usually intentional, while automobile deaths are always accidents.

really?????? i'm pretty sure humans existed on this planet for a few thousand years without cars, trains, ships or airplanes.

Because in Switzerland you allowed to keep the gun but they don't issue you ammo. In time of war you are expected to go the local armory and pick up bullets so that you can then shoot people.

So not really the same as being the most heavily armed country but it does explain why the citizens don't shoot each other.

^ No, I meant the highest. That's why I used the word "highest" and not the word "lowest". Because they have the highest gun homicide rate in Europe.

So about 2/3's of the firearm killings is self inflicted

Brett, you have finally seen the light. You are 100% right. If those people didn't have firearms, they would be alive right now.

Suicide rate state they would have found another way and debunk what the OP was implying, there is a difference between killing and Suicide. 2/3rds of the gun violence that people are complaining about are self inflicted, so there fore not violent at all. Only a 1/3.

biggest country in the world where suicide is accepted, Japan, guns are very hard to get

Get caught with a handgun on you or inside your car in Switzerland and see how well that works out.

Why do some people shove their heads in the sand and act like total idiots?

Two hundred years ago, even here in the United States, we were hunters. We didn't shoot because it was "fun"; We hunted, killed animals, skinned them, and then preserved them and ate them later on. But even then transportation played a huge part in what people ate. Different foods has always been imported.

People use firearms to commit suicide because it's quick and easy.

Someone who is determined to kill themselves will find a way. People who are less determined and do not have access to firearms do not have a sure fire way of killing themselves. Pills do not always work, and hanging and slitting your wrists can be painful, take too long, and is not an option for most people.

Without access to firearms, a lot more people who wanted to try suicide would still be around.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh How do you even know what "that" was, if you 'have me on ignore', genius? :error

This post of yours is even more dipshitted than your interminable dribbling about bitcoins, since you found out about them five seconds ago.

If the quote posted was directed at me, as you seem to think it was, I'd love to know why, since what I wrote was entirely factually accurate. To repeat: Switzerland is frequently cited by gunloons as a gun-loving country that has low gun crime, when in fact it has the highest gun murder rate in Europe.

Japan has strict gun laws, yet suicide is a lot higher there, playing on the train tracks is a favorite.

The reason I posted this is because in the OP, it made it look like 1 million people had been murdered, that's not the case.
