BTW people...

Everyone remember to REMOVE the links back to TWAN'S Directory.

You are giving free backlinks to directories that are Offline.

He's not coming back.

Links Pulled!

I just wrote to his host to ask if someone else could cover his hosting bill for him. I mean, if a bunch of us are in here, myself included, saying we would happily buy his stuff, I'm thinking his hosting bill has to be less than a full-on purchase. Let opportunity to monetize, but probably worth it to kick in for anyone who has a lot of backlinks from him or a bunch of blogs with him.

beks001 04-22-2013 03:55 PM

Not a bad idea. The hosting can't be more than few hundred a month I don't think.

heh.. It looks like many bloggers there were promoting your program.

But not, it's not a hosting bill issue, TWAN'S gone for good. He just press the button and let it go.

The end. Fin. Die ende.

You would think AFF would gladly cover the hosting bill. The only advertising he put on thumblogger blogs afaik was a text link at the very top in the header to AFF. If those text links didn't generate at least a couple $x,xxx a month then there is pretty much no hope for most of us to promote AFF because if he couldn't do it with that traffic then few of us ever could.

It's hard to say for sure what is going on. Twan has always been a unpredictable guy from what I have seen of him over the years from afar.

It looks like thumblogger lost half it's traffic in the last year.

http://siteanalytics.compete.com/thumblogger.com/

That might have something to do with him saying fuck it if he really did that.

I don't see any sense in letting TB die and getting no revenue instead of selling it and making $

I don't usually respond to fake nicks, but I've just gotta say that you are the single most BORING fake nick ever to post on GFY. Everything you say is some Debbie Downer ploy to try to get people who know more than you to take you to school. Your ignorance suggests you are not working in "mainstream" or adult and I don't think you've ever posted a single witty or insightful comment. Ever. Lametastic.

Just sayin...

Then use the other hosts, I am sure they will be around forever with no way of covering their costs ;)

If you can then do it. I can't help you other than making some blogs with you once it's back up. Get it back up then set up a 4th blog domain using wp. Twan doesn't use wp for his blogs.

Hah, it looks like I took nerve there, huh Gothic Lady? :1orglaugh

But the fact is that you are Wrong, and I am Right.

You cannot do anyting to fix this, no matter how many emails you send. TWAN is gone for good, what's the part you cannot understand?

You should actually thank me for telling you the truth and what's going on. It would save a lot of people time, money and traffic. I remembered everyone here to remove their backlinks. What did you say? How did you help people? With fake false promises of taking over TWAN's domain? Forget about it, don't even bother.

The domains will be worthless too in good time. Without the links they aren't worth it.

I agree. Anyone that would take over would have to purchase all the domains for the blogs and directories.

Not that bad if you saved and backed up all your thumblogger posts/blogs to programs like Zoundry Raven or windows live writer.

At least I did.

Now you can just setup a new domain and put all blogs in subdomains and import all data there.

Even my images and videos are online, because I never posted them in Thumblogger. :)

You can also try Google Cache, but not sure how many of your posts were cached, you will also have to do it as soon as possible.

Every thread you post in, you are telling everyone they are failing and there is no chance of success. I don't know if you are anti-"porn" or just trying to get people's back up enough that they take you to school. A fake nick should at least be funny and you are not. After this post, I'll put you on ignore like I should have in the first place. My error.

I'm not debating whether Twan is gone for good. Lots of people with good sites have just checked out without selling. Lots of people, including Twan previously, have gone offline and come back again.

I am pointing out that everything you say is all Debbie Downer, never gonna make it, spend your time on things which don't make money.

And your negative posts are always challenges to try to get people to teach you useful information.

I backed them up to txt files. I know I can get them back up but the links that bring the google traffic can take years to build up.

I clicked on a thumblogger blog an hour ago and got a weird yellow background on the page but now it's blank again.

yeah ... I saw adultforumhost's demise coming up ; so I just transferred all the content to new forums ; and bang .... Twan and adultforumhost began to stumble and slowllly fallllll ....... over the period of about a year and a half ..

and then * poof * they disappeared .

I tried to get ahold of them at one point . I emailed their company in the Netherlands ; and I had one guy in the Netherlands from their support forum that wanted to help ... so I gave him the Tel # from their contact information .

But there was no getting ahold of them . They didn't answer anything .

There was always something more than a little dodgy about Twan & his gang.

He hasn't been around 'properly' for years. The whole network disapearing without a word is no shock.

That it went down without him saying anything is pretty out of order. That would be pretty nasty even for the scumbags of this industry. Thumblogger alone was in the top 10k of Alexa ranking.

Thousands of webmasters will be negatively affected by this and hundreds will lose large sources of income.

Agreed....BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY----> those thousands including myself should walk away knowing that using your own networks is always better and pays in the long run.

I hear people talking about taking posts they did and putting them on another FHB.

Why not wake up and smell the coffee and buy a domain and hosting. Reinvest your earnings and build something you own.

I don't think it's fair to call thumblogger users freeloaders. Twan had an ad in the header and that was the deal. Is it smart to build a business on sand? No. But the users aren't deadbeats. Back in the late nineties I got my start in this industry by using a freehost. I moved from a freehost to a dedicated server within 3 months.

Would be funny if one of them sued you for using their content and won since you wouldn't want to fight the case in their locality. But like you said, Freeloaders always lose.

Think about it, I personally wrote many of the posts, and most are unique content.

I can take any phrase and put it in google between " " and the only blog that will show up, is mine.

So yes, I want that content in my own blogs now, because thumblogger content is being de-indexed within the next 15 days... :)

See

https://support.google.com/webmaster...answer=1663688

Quote:

Remove content that?s not live

If the page, site or image has already been removed from the site in question, it may still show up in Google?s search results if we have not crawled the page recently. While you wait for our search results to get updated, use this tool to request Google not to show the outdated content from the page.
I believe if the site is down Google will do a batch crawl once you submit the url and then will de-index the pages. I think you might have to do every single url though unless Google is smart enough to figure it all out. It will show the status of the update and for small requests usually it is done in 12-24 hours. This does work on someone else's site as well.

What I would do is if I were sure I wanted to leave Thumblogger and I did not think it would be back is submit urls in this way, wait for them to be verified removed, then wait another day or so and set them up on the new site. I'm not 100% sure it would be okay as I've never been in this exact same situation but I'd think it would be. Just verify the old results are removed. :)

If you wait in my experience it can take up to 90 days for it to disappear if you do nothing. Usually 30-60 days but it depends.

I would totally do that.

I'm thinking of having a simple script made that checks for duplicate content on google. Something that I can just import a list of blogs into and it will pull out a random sentence for each blog post and search them all on google. Then give me a readout. Something with a nice interface.

I know that since I'm hosting my own content from now on I'm going to be looking for that a lot more.
