You just lost a lot of blogs because you host them with someone else. And what's the first thing you do? Start making blogs on someone elses server again? Really?

The best thing would be to make a free host, then use it yourself.. :upsidedow

nice hosting spam worked in the thread :thumbsup:1orglaugh

I never said I didn't have my own networks..... :thumbsup

patavax 04-21-2013 02:21 PM

My last blog was approved on TWAN's directories on Friday April 12, 2013... I submitted my last blog on Tuesday April 16. The network then went down. If it's still down by next weekend (April 27, 28) it will be gonte forever... That's what I think.

But: If Twan should stop the service: why should he not sell his network? How much is it worth? At least some nice BMW or 1/5 of a nice house in Holland...

This is actually exactly why I set up my own. I did not want to build hundreds of blogs and lose them all because someone stopped paying their hosting bill or just decided to eliminate everyone's hard work.

I have added five more people since my last post! If I haven't replied to someone's e-mail, grab me on ICQ, always possible your e-mail slipped through.

hotbrazil 04-21-2013 06:08 PM

To have your own network is great but even when you have your own network to use free host is good too. Because we use free hosts doesn't mean we are not considering to pay for host in the future or we already have our own hosts. But it takes time to get traffic and start making sales from the scratch and when you go with a free host that is well known it gets easier to get started.

Thanks to Twan's networks I have been my own boss for almost two years...

beks001 04-21-2013 06:30 PM

I wont wait that long. It will be de indexed by then im sure.

Wow! Good for you! That's awesome. I would have to make 5-10k a month in adult to do that. That's great!

Ya, to not sell does not make sense at all.

PornDiscounts-V 04-22-2013 12:53 AM

If Twan came to me and said he didn't want his network and it wasn't being monetized because he think it'd make any money I'd offer him $50,000 for it because I know I can make that much back in months with his network.

Why he didn't do something like this kind of pisses me off. Why spend the effort to make something and then let it fail?

Klen 04-22-2013 01:19 AM

There is still a chance how he is on some realy long vacation :)

I was thinking the same thing about selling part!

Wow, you must be very angry and pissed. It looks like the service went away for good.

But if it manages to come back, it will be hard to recover I guess.

By the comments, It looks like the guy (Twan) was just looking to leave the business since long ago for some reason we don't really know, besides the decadence of the overall business model, it looks like there was another reason that finally made he take the decision to press the button.

So, to sum it up, what are the alternatives to thumblogger?

Free Hosts that didn't open 1 month ago?...

blogspot.com
tumblr.com
xlogs.org
venusblogger.com
freepornhosts.com
blogbugs.org

Any other? :)

pornblogspace has been open almost 3 years and is run by the guy who made blog organizer, link organizer and many other scripts. 3 other free hosted blogs are also run through his platform.

Forget blogbugs. Full of ads and I'm not able to access the theme options. If you try to edit an existing post, it's also not possible. Fucked up, too...

I hope his service will remain. pornblogs.com (powered by fetishhits.com) was a good host, too. Until they decided to fuck the webmasters, closed it down and redirected the traffic to their cam site.

The thumblogger story shows why it's better to use free hosts only as link whores. Lost many blogs, too.

btw: I remember december 2008 when TB was down due to a hacker attack. The current situations reminds me to that crash.

easyxsites.com :winkwink: but I guess technically we don't count since we are in beta.

Not so sure about hacking this time, cause back then his forum was working and some other sites. Now it's all down!

I guess you're right. One of his directory domains prompts an error message "too many domains on this IP". I had this error myself recently with Amerinoc, but on a shared hosting account. They fixed it in less than 1 hour. So it seems to be a technical problem.

Sad to see Twan doesn't care about at all :Oh crap

No offense, but there are too many examples that show: Better avoid free hosts, they shut down the service and fuck you when the stupid webmasters have generated enough traffic. I hope your service will stay and become as popular and strong as Twans services.

None taken and you are right, there are a lot of examples of people fucking over their customers. As it is with any type of product in more or less all industries.

We plan to stick around and build a cool product that'll help generate revenue for both webmasters and ourselves. Right now we've only done a very small percentage of what we want to do and I am confident that in time we will become something that's very popular. I think we already are, with more than 3500 sites created and we aren't even out of beta yet. More features to come, more site types to come.

We just need to iron out all the bugs and get things loading faster :pimp

itx 04-22-2013 09:11 AM

I will add 2 cool domains xxxlog.co and pornlog.co to my free blog service xlogs.org if you want test it.

HunkyLuke 04-22-2013 09:40 AM

If you are looking for a new multi-directory to list your blogs, I run these:

http://multiblogsubmitter.com/ (straight, gay, shemale) - lists on 6 directories
http://gayblogsubmitter.com/ (gay only) - lists on 5 directories
http://gayadultdirectory.com/addurl.php (gay only) - lists on 6 directories
http://www.gaypornlinx.com/addurl.php (gay only) - lists on 6 directories

I have been running these for years, most directories are PR3 and have both search engine and bookmarker traffic.

NOTE: I approve new entries once a week, so be patient! Also, no freehosted blogs, especially blogger!!!

yeah , this doesn't surprise me.

Twan's forum site - - ' adultforumhost ' - - has been on the way out for like a year and a half . It wasn't able to be updates etc ... ( you got some kind of retarded message that he was ' out for coffee ' ) .

I did lose about 8 to 10 blogs over at thumblogger ; but , oh well , that's the Internet and free hosts .

It's just the idea of the work that you put into it that's down the tubes :(

Besides the uncounted MySql database errors I see in YOUR service, I also can't even navigate to it, because it says im using a bad browser, when Im using the last version of my browser...

Also, I dont like the SKIM traffic part, there are other Free Hosts with no ads and no skimming of traffic.

Just sayin...

MainstreamGuy 04-22-2013 12:08 PM

BTW people...

Everyone remember to REMOVE the links back to TWAN'S Directory.

You are giving free backlinks to directories that are Offline.

He's not coming back.

Links Pulled!

I just wrote to his host to ask if someone else could cover his hosting bill for him. I mean, if a bunch of us are in here, myself included, saying we would happily buy his stuff, I'm thinking his hosting bill has to be less than a full-on purchase. Let opportunity to monetize, but probably worth it to kick in for anyone who has a lot of backlinks from him or a bunch of blogs with him.

beks001 04-22-2013 03:55 PM

Not a bad idea. The hosting can't be more than few hundred a month I don't think.

heh.. It looks like many bloggers there were promoting your program.

But not, it's not a hosting bill issue, TWAN'S gone for good. He just press the button and let it go.

The end. Fin. Die ende.

You would think AFF would gladly cover the hosting bill. The only advertising he put on thumblogger blogs afaik was a text link at the very top in the header to AFF. If those text links didn't generate at least a couple $x,xxx a month then there is pretty much no hope for most of us to promote AFF because if he couldn't do it with that traffic then few of us ever could.

It's hard to say for sure what is going on. Twan has always been a unpredictable guy from what I have seen of him over the years from afar.
