It's not hard to evade a manhunt for a few hours. Just hunker down somewhere and stay quiet. The problems come when it turns into many hours or days.... when you need food, water, heat etc etc... He doesn't have more stamina than 1000s of cops combined. :2 cents:

It seems crazy he has evaded capture for so long he must be real nearby i guess, i would think if he was fleeing further afield they would have caught him by now..

There was a case in the UK a few years back with a guy called Raul Moat and he managed to hide for a week the whole time he was not very far away at all, kind of reminds me of this situation
