My daughter was learning to write at 4 using Hooked of Phonics, I taught my daughter to shoot when she was I think 8, I would never have sent her to a hunting course. I started her with a BB gun and then a .22 pump, then a M1 Carbine

It's called responsibility ?.. something more people need.

I was learning about the same age, while no guns were every given to me till my step father died, he did give me then, a Savage 30.06 made in 1902 that I can drill holes in golf balls with!

You're teaching your daughter how to shoot people in the eye.
If ayone could stand for everything that is wrong with the US it's you.
It's your backwards kind that people think of in other countries when you mention the US.
The purest white trash you will find in your 3rd world country.

hunting was a big thing for a lot of guys in my highschool. seems these days people just want to shoot guns for fun. i don't really see the thrill in either hunting or shooting for fun but whatever. i'd sooner have a kid learn from someone who actually knows what they're talking about rather than teaching mistakes that have been passed down from previous generations.

I understand what you are saying, but when I saw my daughter graduate boot camp, her CC asked me about her training, See I was trained by my stepfather who was a Marine. I taught my daughter more than she would have got from a safety course, I know, I needed one for a hunting license and I needed another for a carry permit. Either don't give guns to 5 year olds, or give guns to 2 year olds to protect themselves against 5 year olds...

The real problem are trigger happy pigs like Vendzilla who teaches people around him to shoot people if someone looks funny at you.
Trailer trash like him can't wait for a reason to shoot someone.
It's those kind of gun freaks who are exactly the kind of people who shouldn't be allowed to own guns.

Why? Why is it so fucking important to have that right? In most countries you don't have right and pretty much everybody is fine with it. And on top of that it's way safer.

Really? Kids too? What about criminals and crazy people?

You have to get a background check to drive a car. Are you opposed to background checks to buy a gun?

Just wondering..

That having the right to own something doesn't mean you have to have it no matter what. This never seems to be a problem unless we're talking about guns. Then suddenly that right or freedom means you NEED a gun or otherwise your freedom is taken away from you.
Pretty goddamn retarded. Then again the typical gun owner usually is pretty retarded.

GoldBarsXXX 05-01-2013 06:18 PM

Pull out of middle east and redeem yourself as a superpower by giving the Palestinians a piece of land and there will be no more need for all these stressful alerts and flags that Americans have to live with every single day.

Make a massive network of public transportation across the US such as sky-trains and bullet trains which means less cars , less pollution, less traffic, less stress, less oil dependency (if of course the car manufactures and oil companies let you) and more money in your pocket.

At the same time try to encourage and educate the people to sometimes walk a little of bike a little to work if the bus or train don't take them right to the doorstep of their office. This means less obesity which has become an epidemic in US and less tax dollars spent in treating it.

Give African-Americans a piece of land so everybody can live in peace and quiet. All of a sudden there will much less need for guns. Next thing you can close down the gun factories.

Good things happen when you do good things..........and think.

This would be my agenda if I were a politician.

You are taking things out of context. You do not have to get a background check for a car. Any criminal can drive a car. Crazy people can drive cars too.

Hell, they even let my wife drive.

sure most is common sense but the average person doesn't have someone with your training teaching them either. most probably just had dad after a few beers who learned from his dad after a few beers.

A five year old isn't too young to have a gun, but a 15 year old is too young to have access to the morning after pill. Makes sense to me.

A few years ago I would have agreed with that 100%. What I've personally seen in the last few years has changed my perception though.

In YOUR circles and MY circles I'd say your statement is a fact. However, there's a metric shit ton of fucking morons out there who own guns and they are anything but "safe & responsible" gun owners. :( People like the family involved in this horrible situation for instance.

I started shooting around 6 years old and hunting at 12 or 13. Through my entire childhood ALL the guns in the house were kept locked up. Even after I turned 18, my guns were still kept in my dads safe and I didn't have the combination. When I moved out, I got my own locking gun cabinet. To this day, I am the ONLY person who has the combination to my safe. Not even my wife can get into it.

I carry a gun daily and currently shoot an average of 4 days a week. That puts me around other shooters quite a bit. It amazes me how some of these clowns treat their weapons and the people around them. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't find myself correcting somebodies unsafe practices. Then there are the fucktards who grab a truck full of guns, fill their coolers with beer, and take their friends and family shooting. I see this type of tool on a regular basis. As soon as they show up, I leave the area.

I am VERY MUCH pro gun and I believe that those who are truly responsible should have the right to own and carry. But if you're going to stand there muzzling people with your "gat" while chugging a beer and ranting about your Constitutional rights then you can fuck right off as far as I'm concerned. :2 cents:

Define average person? Do you know how many registered hunters there are in the US? Around 15 million according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Most states require a hunters safety course. Your argument doesn't hold water.

HelmutKohl 05-02-2013 08:39 AM

The thing is EVERY gun owner says the same thing. EVERY gun owner will claim that he is a responsible gun owner and that the morons shouldn't have guns. Just like every car driver thinks he drives better than other people.
So basically this makes it a worthless argument.
