And the cool thing about this car is you can add a supercharger or turbo fairly easy.. and tons of other mods that can be done. I do the mods, my wife drives it :)

The speed3 is turbocharged, hence why it's so easy to mod and get a lot of power out of cheap :thumbsup

maybe its because it rains more over here? but we dont like our stuff to become wet :1orglaugh

This is very true really. Here where I live pick ups are constant; I can't remember the last time I saw a station wagon. When I see a station wagon of any kind I think "mom mobile from the 1970s / 1980s".

In Europe you see a pickup without 'Daves Gardening' (or other reason why you need a pickup) written on the side you think... knob.

Vauxhall is England only - if even available there

VW has the Amarok but i have seen maybe 5 in total since they launched

Pickups are less popular than Bentleys

(and really just used by gardeners)

Never come across them, seems to be mainly Nissans. I can appreciate knackered truck, dented, drivers seat a bit smelly on a hot day, mud on the floor.. But a shiny new one, that just gets used to drive to the mall/wallmart.. Bit like assholes with massive 4*4īs in the city who never take the car into the enviroment itīs meant for.

VW builds them mostly for south america - but they seem to do well there

the thing that always got me loling about those are the one with brush protectors on the brake lights! so they are going to be going so fast in reverse that they need guards over the brakelights? got it. :1orglaugh

Although I have a fully loaded Acura MDX just sitting in Canada (still), in Bermuda I drive a Mazda 2.

Bermuda is only 22 square miles with a maximum speed limit of 35 KPH (that nobody pays any attention to). The roads are very small and gas is fairly expensive here. Other than those reasons, it's funny how different the culture is here in the ex-pat community. There's none of the "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality here. I know partners in big reinsurance firms taking home multi 7 figure per year bonuses and driving $2500 150cc scooters. It's kind of cool actually. We often say Bermuda is like college but with a gold card.

For years I never understood the need for a truck either. I always had sports cars, and in the rare event we needed to haul something we used my wife's SUV. Until... I bought a truck. The moment we bought it, it became the most important car in the house. This morning I made a dump run with it.

A truck is a car with room for cargo.

See, I think that's awesome...

Why would anyone want to drive around in these little cramped supercars? if you want speed buy a god damn motorbike, if you want to go somewhere A-B then get something with big seats, stereo and quiet running.
