Few things:

1) Posting on Facebook when you are in the hospital for treatment of major injuries? God help us. God help us all. (and incredibly gay).

2) Can people please stop the "will you press charges!!?" nonsense. Stop watching television police dramas folks. If a police report is filed, it doesn't matter if the victim wants to "press charges" The cops submit their report to the prosecutor or AG, and they decide whether they want move forward with a criminal indictment. Sure, the prosecutor may receive input from the victim and this may sway the prosecutor one way or the other (kinda like when a battered wife pleads, "don't charge my husband!!"), but at the end of the day, the prosecutor can bring charges whether the victim "presses charges" (whatever the fuck that means) or not.

3) The story is definitely missing some crucial information, namely, what or who provoked the perp. People generally just don't walk in and start knocking people out cold for "no reason". Unless he was high on drugs (and very powerful ones) and he just decided to drop rain makers on random people, he obviously was provoked (and 9/10, the "victim" provoked it somehow). Did XXXJay get in a beef with him earlier? Did some third party induce him to get medieval and beat down someone for no reason? I'm just not buying the, "he walked in and beat me down for no reason." There is ALWAYS a reason.

4) If the perp filed a police report against you, or you anticipate ANY type of legal proceeding (i.e., his criminal trial, your criminal trial, a civil lawsuit), why the fuck would you be posting details on GFY? You do realize that everything you publicly post is discoverable in a criminal or civil trial, i.e., it can be used against you? (hope your story in court matches your story on GFY) It is a small town, and any GFY user could just conveniently forward your posts to an attorney involved in the litigation. If you talked to a lawyer already and you told him of your posting and he was cool with it, fire him immediately and get a new lawyer.

Either this is a hoax or some odd shit that illustrates the stupidity of a lot of people.
