I haven't really used any of that to be honest. It was certainly interesting though. The guy who gets slated through that book has a better way of looking at things I reckon.

there is a lot of truth in the mystery method, I have no doubt about that...

i like the negging and the "peacocking" part, especially when mystery went too crazy with it...this shit made me ROLF :1orglaugh I still make jokes about that with friends... ow it's ON!

Alone in the Wilderness parts 1 and 2, Silence and Solitude and The Frozen North are all about Dick's life at twin lakes. They are well protected so you should probably just buy them at http://www.dickproenneke.com/videos.html and own the DVD's.

If you like that kind of thing, then you may also like watching Survivorman Les Stroud's original trek into the wilderness with his wife which you should be able to find on Youtube searching for Snowshoes and Solitude.

naked castaway from discovery looks kinda promising :D

That show originally aired as Naked and Marooned and all of the episodes are online one place or another. I thought it was pretty good but too short (4 episodes I think?)

http://www.reddit.com/r/documentaries - my fav subreddit. You can sort by "Best of the Week, Month, Year" etc... constant stream of good stuff (most of the time).

Idiocracy is a good documentary on the evolution of American society.

For sports I'm afraid I have to admit being very, very biased. I only really watch anything related to Football (soccer) Or European interest sports in general. I did find Moneyball the movie interesting though. Watched Bigger, Faster, Stronger earlier which was suggested in the thread before. Found that interesting and extremely sad because of the way these guys thought building muscle was some kind of "life". But it was good.

I like the connection in the title and synopsis :1orglaugh, but if I'm honest, England/Britain isn't much/if any better. I'll have to watch it :thumbsup.
