That pretty much sums it up. Before Fox, there was no one out there pushing for the conservatives. Now there is, if people want to really know what's going on, they have to listen to both sides. Idiots that sit here and bash fox, I guess they aren't listening to Fox? Then they are listening to just one side of it. Sheeple I can't listen to Maddow on MSNBC. Way too one sided |
No one is denying that MSNBC is liberal...but they're just smarter over there. Anyone with half a brain can tell that Maddow is more intelligent than anyone at FoX news. There's just dumb horseshit flowing from Fox every minute, and they're bad at fact checking also -- and even worse they don't correct themselves on the numerous occasions they're just plain wrong. Have you ever watched The Five? I can't believe those mentally handicapped twits are allowed to say things on TV.
Republicans give MSBC plenty of material because their politicians are either trying to block people from voting, or killing a bill that might help people or just saying something retarded. The Republican congress has spent most of its time lately trying to hang the coon in their precious White House, instead of passing immigration reform or doing any other part of their job. It's easy to complain about them. As for Fox, it's fine to be the conservative media mouthpiece, but go about it with some intelligence instead of wild speculation and propaganda. |

Obama is in his second term already and no one has come to your door yet to insert tracking microchips and take your guns away. It's OK just step away from the TV you will be OK,... |

Why Fox has to be so obviously right-leaning and the other network so ridiculously left is beyond me. Report the damn news and leave the bias to shows like Limbaugh and Jon Stewart. By the way I do very much enjoy the Daily Show, speaking of Jon Stewart. Liberal-leaning yes, but he's definitely not afraid to take a pot shot or two at the libs, Obama, Clinton, etc, which I like. Ridiculous is ridiculous no matter who's doing it. The polarizing effect that networks like Fox and MSNBC are having on the American society is absolutely dumbfounding. If you're going to call yourself a news network then be one. They don't say 'opinionate the news' they say 'REPORT the news'. Both stations need to try reporting for a change. |

It was originally meant as sort of a vulgar compliment or term of affection - Rove had the ability to politically spin shit into flowers during Bush's campaigns & presidential runs. |

Rachel Maddow is the best talk show on the "news" channels. Nobody connects the dots, dots the Is, crosses the Ts and sources their facts more thoroughly and meticulously than her. And unlike the hosts on Fox, she will come back with a correction or clarification even on small things on the rare occasion she got something wrong. And it IS rare because she puts major reasearch and prep time into getting it right. You can REALLY see the difference between progressive and conservative shows on radio. Where Rush takes carefully screened calls mostly from dittoheads and a rare "liberal" that they feel isn't articulate enough to get too much in during a brief bully pulpit slam, Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes have it as policy that if you disagree with them you get bumped to the front of the caller line. Thom Hartman regularly has fair give and take discussions with conservative guests. Randi says quite often, "Don't take my word for it, go look it up for yourself". As far as "Turdblossom", that was George W. Bush's pet name for Karl Rove, because of his ability to take a pile of shit and spin it to make it smell like a rose. Ed was not making up a name to call him. |

[QUOTE=Scott McD;19666834]Like i said, watching that video made me angry.
Do you wish you said more to her though? I know she cut you off a few times, but for me, i'd just have ruined the interview and talked over her anywayQUOTE] They would have just cut him off. He handled himself well, and the bird at the end was more than justified:upsidedow |

I think in your "can't listen to" her you perhaps haven't really listened to her. |
people want to hear opinions they agree with. what the real facts are don't matter. you can tell which way each poster in this threads leans by their view of certain networks. none of them contain much truth.

I would have loved to have gone off on Malkin but in the end I think biting my tongue made me appear to be the bigger person. I was honestly floored by how many kind e-mails I received after it aired. People couldn't get over how mean she was, which was ironic considering I was supposed to be the evil porn guy. Instead I started the segment with a compliment, remained rather civil, and maintained my composure. She came off like a complete lunatic and destroyed the point she was trying to make. It not only made me look good, but it helped people see that not everyone in the adult business is a total creep. I considered it a very small victory for the entire industry. |

Bitch shut the fuck up, Stacy won't be answering shit. I watched the video, what an ass hole.. "There's a Google result of you on almost every page.." "Yea that's right, it's fraudulent, you gonna use it for your site?" You should. |

The way she ended it to "I'm not going to say thank you, but good bye." Honestly what a prick. You acted very polite, she treated you like shit. Nice job keeping it cool up there. I salute you. |

much respect for doing it, and keeping cool when it hit the fan :2 cents: |

She of course would have responded with "No" You: "Then no, I won't be using them on my site. Because that's not how I do things. The girls depicted on my site are all consenting adults. Period." Is there even any actual sex on your site or is it just nude posing? If so this Malkin idiot really should get out more and do some surfing to see what the community standard of tolerance is these days. Simple nudity is nothing. But she would already know that if she were less opinionated and more informed. |

She went on and on about 90% of the guns in the Mexican cartels hands being supplied by gun shops in the US, when it was the US government that was running the Fast and Furious program. And the actual amount was around 25% I listened to her, she's a hater thru and thru |

You're kidding, right? FOX News is just tons of lies, and endless, endless, endless errors and mistakes that they just never apologize for or own up to. Everyone at Fox, especially Hannity, are fucked in the head. And that prick Huckaby, playing guitar with Ted Nugent? If there was any doubt what fox believes in it was answer that night. And let's not forget who their regular contributors are: http://www.mediaite.com/wp-content/u...11-300x181.jpg http://nextamericanpresident.us/uplo...ap4njbzorb.jpg etc.... |

Every four years they say the same thing: "Oh, they are going to take our guns away". After twenty years of the same shit it gets old. Can I still own an assault rifle? Yes. Do they still search me when I get on an airplane? Yes. Can I still travel from state to state without having to ask permission? Yes. Can I still say anything I want about the government? Yes. You only think it is. |

Did the US target a sixteen year old kid? Nope. In fact, the only reason the drone strike took place was because they believed the kid was at another location. This was a military strike on an enemy combatant that had collateral damage. I'm not gonna loose any sleep over this. |

1. Removing serial numbers is simple. 2. Look up where most guns are manufactured and compare their proximity to Mexico AND the ease of purchase/transport. I've listened to Rachel Maddow long before she transisitioned from radio to MSNBC. If she HATES anything it is misinformation. I fact check all of the shows I listen to and would put the average knowledge from just one of her shows against an average month of Fox. |
Quote:
it's now out that this kid was killed, specifically, in a separate attack two weeks later the justification for this was he was the one masterminding the shoe bombings you know, the bombings that started 2002, when the kid was 6 |

I like to switch between MSNBC, CNN, and FOX to get their reactions to stuff happening. And yeah, Maddow was right there with every story on Romney having his dog on the roof of his car during the election. But she has yet to cross any "t's" or dot any "i's" on any of the biggest newstories happening the last few weeks (the IRS, the NSA, Benghazi, etc.) She simply ignores the stories. Weird. Also...keep in mind that neither Maddow or any anchor at Fox News or MSNBC are doing any actual "fact checking" themselves. They all have teams of people working for them and then they come in and read what's written. If any of these people were real reporters there would be no need for "fact checking" because they would be finding things out themselves instead of reading press releases from politicians and press releases from "think tanks", etc. It's pretty sad. I don't find any redeeming quality to Maddow's show or any of the other "opinion" shows on MSNBC or Fox News or CNN other than entertainment value. And Maddow is simply not very entertaining...which is why she loses the ratings on her time spot to Hannity of all people. Why? Because Hannity is an entertainer and brings on people with opposing viewpoints to debate with. That is simply good t.v. Maddow needs to stop bringing on people who agree 100% with her and doing all that smirking on her show. It makes her look like an elitist. If she would bring on some ultra-conservative "guests" and debate whatever the topics are she is pushing that day it would be a LOT better. That kinda seems to be the main problem with all Liberal oriented shows. They seem to be afraid to debate ideas with the opposing viewpoint. But it just isn't very compelling to watch a host with 3 or 4 other people all agreeing with each other and smirking. That is boring as hell. :( |

These guys calling themselves "liberals" are definitely NOT what was always "liberal" before. Liberals USED to be the guys protesting Democrat Pres. Lyndon Johnson so hard over the Vietnam War that he declined to run for another term. Liberals USED to be anti-govt. pro-freedom, etc. In other words...what Libertarians are today. Today's "liberals" are basically the same kind of people that real liberals used to call "squares" back in the 1960's. Today's liberals LOVE the govt. Ask to be taxed more so more money can be spent on the military. And they never saw a law or a cop that they didn't love. They practically beg to bow down before authority. :( |
Quote:
Surprise! Fox actually does have liberals on the air. That's what makes their shows get the big ratings that MSNBC doesn't get. You throw O'Reilly and Carville together and it's fireworks. I don't agree with what either one of them have to say. But I watched the whole segment because it was entertaining. 2 giant egos with opposing viewpoints... |
