The used game issue alone will destroy them. PS4 will rein supreme.

Anybody who is buying one of these is a complete retard. You're buying yourself a 24/7 living room surveillance machine invading your privacy constantly.

To further back my first post in this thread about Xbox 360 not going anywhere, I just saw this article today:

The Future of the Xbox 360

by Scott Baker, Examiner.com

So E3 was packed with news, as it usual is. But what did it mean for gamers who aren't ready to pay the $499 that the XBOX One will cost at launch?

Well, besides the coming releases of Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, GTA V, and according to the President of XBOX division at Microsoft, over 100+ more titles all only for the Xbox 360.

That's great news for the current gen gamers with no plans or cash to throw at the next gen systems.

What else?

Big news actually. To say thank you to the Xbox Live Gold membership community, Microsoft is giving away two completely free full versions of games per month starting in July and ending December 31, 2013. So far Microsoft announced that Fable 3, Assassin's Creed 2, and Halo 3 will all be free titles. If you somehow have never tried any of these games before, you will get your chance with no risk.

While these titles are going to be fan favorite games and you will likely already own several of them, it is a nive gesture which has the potential to get you more out of the current generation.

The system isn't dead yet. With plans to continue adding apps and new features to the Xbox 360 as well as yet another new re-design of the console that is the quietest, fastest, and lightest version of the system to date.

The plans are not all openly being shared however, so some of it will be announced as the summer progresses.

Xbox 360 Live Summer of Arcade will begin August 7th with a bunch of new titles.

Titles like TMNT Out of the Shadows, A Tale of Two Sons, and Charlie Murder.

Ubisoft, Activision, and Microsoft all have multiple games planned for the 360 including Bungie's new game, Destiny.

By no means is it the end of the 360. To top that of, recent interviews with Epic Studios lead to news that several DLC's are planned and are being developed for Gears of War Judgement.

Recently games like GRID 2 and Injustice Gods Among Us have met critical praise and decent sales. So there are a lot of choices for games to get you through the heat of summer. And if you buy Injustice at Walmart, you get DC vs. Mortal Kombat for free as well. So have no fear 360 fans. The system is still going strong.

So launching a new "system," yet no end in sight for the current system. I think Microsoft isn't really planning on having the Xbox One's core focus be gaming. I think their goal is to make it the "go-to" home entertainment system. They're just pitching the gaming aspect since they already have a following in that market. And after they hit those waters, they'll push it more mainstream. But they're not retiring the 360, so it's almost as if they know that hardcore gamers are going to say fuck the Xbox One.

I don't know, I'm just rambling, but it seems odd to me for a company to launch a new console while pledging to continue to support the previous one with new apps and games for "well into the future."

Please tell me how any of the above is not worth being pissed about?

Still you are probably connected 24/7 with your computer and have no problem being that.

Only because it is now a requirement people are getting all pissed, complaining just to complain.

Maybe the reason why this can't shake my world is because:

1) I have a stable internet connection.

2 I have no complain devices need connection - I have a TV, 3 PCs, NAS, Apple TV, WD TV LIVE and two PS3s all hooked up to my internet.

3) I use my PC 90% of my time for gaming

4) If my internet for some reason is down it is not the end of my life. I am not that addicted to gaming or TV that I can't find other things to do.

As I said I never owned a XBOX but probably will get both PS4 and XBOX One this year. The requirements can't scare me off. In case the internet in down I can just play on the PS4, PC or do someting else.
