dude what are you talking about - you showed this entire board your new shooting house just a couple weeks ago and I asked you how much per month the lease was and you gave the price - try renting that house in LA, it's 5K minimum, TWICE what you are paying. And the same goes for talent - I know girls are brought in from Russia and Ukraine to these villas in Portugal for a week and shot the shit out of for a flat fee rather than 1K per scene/shoot the LA girls get. Male talent prices in LA have gone up - think you can thank Brazzers/Manwin for that.

I just would like to say that I have nothing more to add to this thread except the following. If you are talking about a 4K scene, I would assume you have at least another girl and 2 male talents. Everyone, and their grandmother, knows that you shoot multiple times per day to justify the costs.

To charge straight up 4K for 1 scene, which appears to be a solo scene because no talk of male talent at all, is straight up bullshit.

And the girls are not getting anything near 2K to 3K per scene like suggested earlier. Andy is as straight as they come and she certainly confirmed it. I hope she gets some more jobs because she is one hot fucking girl, and cool to boot.

I wasn't even referring to European programs/sites like DDF that shoot in Europe. I do know that Ruseful from Ruseful Cash has posted here what he spends on shoots and that includes his X-Art clone, DaneJones.com - and it's not 4K per scene. I didn't say that 'shoots like that' aren't happening in Europe, I said that similar productions shot in the US and Europe are cheaper to produce in Europe.

With respect Mutt, but as I mentioned before, that sort of generalized statement above has two parts that I know to not be true from my own first-hand experience. 1- There are sites and companies that are not similar in any real sense to those named above that have paid me over $4,000 for a shoot. And 2- that high end content is not just shot in LA, which is certainly true since I have been doing so for years here on the East Coast of the U.S., Canada and other parts of North and South America.

I don't think anyone else was referring to solos but it's not so absurd actually because I've been paid exactly $4,000 to shoot a single female model in a solos only shoot on at least one occasion that I distinctly recall.

EXACTLY! Things cost money. This clown - WHO I HAD TOLD my minimum was 1500/scene shot in bulk turned around and offered me 300/scn. The guys is clueless or a total liar.

I seriously doubt I would have even seen the 300/sc if I was dumb/desperate enough to do it.

I never intended to sell only one scene for 4K. He knew my prices long before this bullshit. This whole cost per scene shit is muddying the waters. Personally I am glad this happened. I had an idea Ackerman (who had offered to buy equipment) was full of shit for awhile. The guy had asked me to shoot 30 scenes a month for him. SO even if it was one scene this first scene - and it was 4K. If he really had the ability to pay us to shoot 30 scenes of Montreal/Toronto girls per month and was willing to invest in equipment.... 4K for that first scene to seal the deal is peanuts.

He was well aware I was not shooting in Romania when he asked me to do 30 scenes a month for him and was well aware I would charge 1-2 grand a scene with maybe some cheaper filler. He knows I am only interested in glam and that I only have any interest in using Hollywood grade equipment for a broadcast quality product.

Andy is a known name, hot as hell, and a great girl. Everyone wants to make money, it is unfortunate that making money direct from content is not what is was, but again, blame that on the tubes. But considering that, I'm sure Andy is doing rather well for herself but she is not doing it by making 2K to 3K per scene.

Your numbers don't even add up. They would be $6300 for the scene minimum.
Those are day rates... redo your math and divide by 2-5 for a price per scene. It's obvious you have never done any production. It is possible to spend all day on one scene tho. But... I don't know about you but if I go into work I charge the day. I do this because even if it only takes me 4 hours of work my day is shot and I can't work for anyone else.
